Opera Software announced on Wednesday that they're going to offer a sneak peek of their Opera Mini web browser for the iPhone during Mobile World Congress 2010 (MWC). Several features of the Mac-based Opera will be included, like tabs, Speed Dial and the password manager, says Opera co-founder Jon von Tetzchner. In the preview pictures shows X on each tab to close. Where are they?? It's nice to have unlimited tabs but if I want to close one I should be able to without having to close the browser.

The 2.1 has improvements but is still flawed. Fullscreen needs to be a true "fullscreen". The tool bar on the bottom is still too intrusive, why have one at all? Why not a icon or in page navigation that you can change the transparency on. The UI is still clumsy. Why a arrow at the top right corner. If you're going to have that lets up change the transparency at least. In tabs you really have to work at closing the tabs. Clumsy.

The hyper scroll corrects a fatal flaw with Safari, and the fullscreen mode takes advantage of the iPhone's large screen.
This is an awesome browser that is leaps ahead of Safari. You'd be crazy to pass this up!
Requests:
1. Make hyper scroll bar smaller. Theres really no reason for it to be as high as it is as there are so many buttons in the top left corner that it is cluttered and hard to press what you really want.
2. Hold link to select "open in new tab" and have it open in the background. You can't open any link in a new tab right now which to me, completely defeats the purpose of a tab and makes it useless.
3. Whenever I enable it to remember my last session I can't type a new URL. There is a bug that makes the URL of the page reappear so I can't type a new URL.
4. Set hyperscroll to always on so when I launch the app it's already open.
I really love this app and it has replaced Sarari on my dock. It just needs some simple improvements.

So far the best App I have used!! It's smooth doesn't crash, and I love the fact that you can open multiple pages unlike the safari where you are limited to 8 at a time. Great App give the maker props! The only thing I'd say I would like to have, is maybe have different options for styles to the app like changing the colors and things like that! I am running OS 2.2.1, and I have been able to click links in the browser. Never had any problem.
I have been experiencing difficulties with some sites I've visited. Such as Filefront.com.
On some busier pages, the browser slows down moreso than in Safari. However that is only for a few sites. The compression helps most of them.
Also, this browser does not save browsing history. Good or bad, you decide. I miss that feature.
Otherwise it is the most attractive browser I've found for the iPod Touch (or iPhone). Aside from BOLT, which is opaque.
Defintely worth the price at 50% off.

Maybe implement the same idea that multitouch has for the full screen browser. It is much easier to use than bothering with annoying status bars that take up space. I like the scrolling of this browser and the speed. Except the scroll bars should only show up while scrolling. They are annoying always being there.
Everything else I like better about multitouch.
It needs the "option" to save history or last open page. All too often you get a text or email that forces you to leave the browser. I hate starting all over again when that happens.
Also tabs would be nice. Unless it slows it down. Speed > tabs

The hyper links do nothing when you click on them. No landscape mode. No ability to make folders for bookmarks. Actually the last two complaints are moot because links do not respond to being selected. I rebooted tried everything. How does crap like this get on iTunes for sale? Shame on apple , they are party to this ripoff. The developers website is a phony site. Nothing there no ability to leave a message. All it is is a name.
I recently upgraded my touch to 3.0, maybe this is the problem, still no excuse for offering this for sale.

Though I appreciate your wish to keep our browsing private you should let us choose it (Oceanus does a nice job with this) AND we mist have tabs! Take a look at Oceanus and copy some of their features while keeping your speed and this will replace Safari for me.
