How good is it at that task? Um… I don’t know. College and I got mutual restraining orders against each other over a decade ago, so I can’t go within 100 meters of this app without getting a major case of the wiggins. Bigwords tells us “at least 50%”, so if you’re headed back to school and you want to save a few (or a lot) of bucks on your way, give this a try and let us know how it works for you!

As a parent of two adult children, with one just having left school and the other finishing a Master's degree, I know that buying textbooks at their staggeringly high prices adds insult to the injury of tuition, housing and living expenses. App works just as well as the site. It chooses the cheapest copies of the books you need, maximizing coupons and minimizing shipping for the cheapest TOTAL order price. If you don't like one book recommendation hit ignore and it will find the next cheapest combination. It Apple-izes textbook shopping. Totally different from every other comparison app I've tried.

So I used this app to search for a couple of books. One of the books showed there was only one store that had it in stock on the app, when I used their website, there are over 9 stores that carry the book. That discrepancy will keep me from using the app and just sticking to the website.

I mean high! I love the characters. I spend most of my money on beer so saving a bit on textbooks just adds to the bottom line for me. Plus, the "searching" screen is mesmerizing. I've been on mushrooms all day watching it go back and fourth. Back and fourth. Back and fouuurrrrrrttthhhhh.

This works just as good as the website but now you can check the prices from anywhere with Wi-Fi. I've used this site for 3 years since seeing it on Digg. Been saving hundreds of $$ per semester since.

I've been using Bigwords forever, but this app makes finding cheap textbooks really nice and easy. I like the ability to ignore a copy of a book if I don't like the one bigwords chooses at first, the multi-item pricing, and the support for international, rentals, ebooks, new, used, marketplaces, etc. Looks like they got it right. btw - no reboot required

Amazing! I've been using bigwords.com for the past few semester of college and have fallen in love with the site. Each semester I'm able to save hundreds of dollars on my textbooks by using it. But NOW by using this app for my iphone, I'm able to search for and compare my textbooks LIVE while in my school library to be able to find the best deals possibly! I only wish this application had came out when i first stated college! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND purchasing and using the bigwords app for all of your college textbooks.
