A few days after the entire service had a redesign, Blogger now has something users have been waiting for for a while: an official iPhone app. Google has released the Blogger app to the App Store, and it's now available for download. The app allows you to do everything you'd expect with the Blogger service, including save, edit, and publish posts, as well as uploading pictures and adding location information. It appears you can't edit any of your templates or HTML, or even manage comments from the app, so this isn't a full-service setup, just a way to quickly post from the road on your blog. There's no iPad version, either, though there are quite a few iPad apps out there that do support posting to Blogger directly. Having an official app like this will probably be enough for a lot of people, especially for a relatively simple CMS like Blogger.

Nicest blogger I've scene, but I still have to use one that I hate whenever I want to do geo-location tagging. My blog follows my hiking, I take pics from the trail, and family at home loves to follow my locations while I'm out. Want to only use this app, because I love it...just this one small thing...PLEASE ADD! 5-stars anyway.

I would give this app a 5th star if it was able to sync my Blogger blog photos to a MobileMe album. Other than that this app is excellent and definitely worth the $2.99 price tag.

I write a daily blog and hated dragging my laptop around just to be able to post. With this app, I write my blog, hit "send" and my blog is perfectly posted in one second. Instead of dragging around my computer, finding a place with wifi, plugging into an outlet, etc, I can now blog when I want, where I want and it's quick and easy. I'm not a techie, so this app is perfect for me.

I use blogger, and I have been frustrated with other apps. $3 later and I am now perfectly happy, I love the multiple pic feature, and the view blog instantly after you upload feature. It works!

Best blog writer/manager out there keep up the good work. I can insert pics post to multiple blogs and manage previous posts quickly. A million times better then messing around in safari truelly spectacular.

I held off on this purchase thanks to the poor reviews. I snatched it up while it was on sale. Glad the fix for the long text is coming, here's the workaround I figured out. Works great on Blogger and Wordpress.com blog:
Insert all your pictures first.
Start typing below the first picture.
When you want to start typing about the second picture, start typing below it.
Repeat this action on all text until finished.
If the text disappears and you want to edit it, shift into landscape keyboard and it all appears for editing.
The fact that this app does such a good job with multiple blogs, I am willing to workaround this major bug for now.

Not even able to connect to a Wordpress (self-hosted) or Wordpress mu blog.
Would have been nice to at least test drive it - I thought maybe it's waiting for an update, but claims recent update from July 11, 2009, so in other words, Wordpress is not supported despite being listed.
Like I said - a disappointment.
Don't bother with it if you're looking for Wordpress support. Get the free Wordpress app instead.

only downloads the portion of a blog entry that fits on the phone screen - scrolling does not work. completely useless for long entries in blogger.

I use Blogger and needed an app-on-the-go to update entries with my iPhone and camera pix. I first tested a different "Lite" blogging app, which didn't work at all. BlogPress, however, delivered exactly as promised. Has a very intuitive u.i. (user interface) and publishes quickly even when I'm on the Edge network. Simply brilliant. It would be nice if I could toggle between other apps and return to the same writing entry page I'm working on without having to go back into saved drafts. But that's a minor issue.

Please consider adding user scalable font size. The font for creating new entries is currently way too small and I can barely see what I am writing. Maybe I am missing a setting for this but if not, please allow users to choose font size. I will change rating to five stars if the font size becomes customizable.

This is a great app with great features! Definately worth the price.
There are only a couple of things that would make it perfect. I agree with several other reviewers on the lacking ability to use html, links and change fonts. Also would absolutely love to be able to use the landscape keyboard instead of the small one.
Other than that, this is a great app with great features.

Just want to start out by saying that this app is just the thing I needed for adding entries for my travel blog truly on the go. Now I don't have to carry around my laptop on my trips--with my iPhone, I can take photos of all the sites I visit, and upload it to my blog on the spot. I also love the fact that BlogPress allows you to have multiple blog accounts, and the navigation between each one is quick and easy. Overall, very clean, user friendly interface, which lets you do everything you need to keep your blog up-to-date in real time.
