+ Universal App $2.99 Our Review By Oliver Haslam on December 23rd, 2011 Rating: :: CONSUMING Consume is your one stop shop for all your accounts and clubs, be they phone, broadband, shopping cards or gaming. Consume 2.0 for iPhone and iPad
Mini_discussion_bubble iSource - Posted Fri, 16 Dec 2011 23:33:05 UTC +00:00
It’s irritating having to head to different websites for your cellphone usage, broadband usage, and to check for that package of Gummi Bears you ordered from Germany. Consume 1.x helped ease this pain on my iPhone by allowing me to track usage details and shipments. But now Consume 2.0 is out and it’s smexier and infinitely more universal than before, meaning that it now runs on both the iPhone and iPad. I only started using the new version today so my stats and accounts are completely uninteresting, but I am digging the automatic iCloud sync. All I had to do was set up my Rogers account on my iPhone and leave it up to iCloud to do the same on my iPad. If you enjoy consumption or the number two, you can check out Consume 2.0 for $2.99 on the App Store. Read More

Consume 1.7 for iPhone: iOS 4 multitasking, performance improvements, new icon
Mini_discussion_bubble iSource - Posted Tue, 06 Jul 2010 20:53:51 UTC +00:00
Now here’s a case where fast app switching is welcome, but simply not very useful for me. That’s because my cable and iPhone accounts on Rogers take a good 20-30 seconds for Consume to check even on wi-fi, so the extra 2-3 seconds of loading time I save are simply nullified by the pathetically long wait time (Rogers’ fault, I’m almost certain). The rest of the update pertains to various provider additions and updates, which you can read in larger print by clicking on the screenshot above. I do dig this newer non-pie (or is it cake?) icon, though! Read More
Consume: l’applicazione che permette di visualizzare tutte le informazioni sulla propria SIM in offerta gratuita | AppStore
Mini_discussion_bubble iPhone iSpazio - Posted Mon, 05 Jul 2010 18:00:17 UTC +00:00
Consume 1.6 Hits App Store, Goes on Sale
Mini_discussion_bubble The iPhone Blog - Posted Fri, 26 Feb 2010 04:31:05 UTC +00:00
By Rene Ritchie, Thursday, Feb 25, 2010 | Consume [$0.99 on sale - iTunes link] is the awesome little app for the those of us who don’t have unlimited anything on our iPhones… or ISPs. Yes, tiered data is a reality in some parts of the world, and we have to watch our MBs/GBs as closely as we watch our voice minutes. While I’ve been using Consume to do that on Rogers for a while now, their latest update — version 1.6 — improves support for existing providers and adds support for: They’ve also added a new “Package Tracking” category for USPS, AAE (Australia), TNT Express (Australia), and Apple Order Status (now if Apple would just release those new MacBooks for us to track!) And yes, it’s made by Bjango who do the great iStat [$0.99 also on sale - iTunes link] app (among others) for iPhone, and widget and menu Read More
Consume updated to 1.6 literally overnight: more providers, new settings page, now tracks packages [iPhone App Updates]
Mini_discussion_bubble iSource - Posted Thu, 25 Feb 2010 17:39:56 UTC +00:00
Consume, the excellent data usage tracker from bjango (review), was updated earlier today. The screenshot should be big enough to show you to read all of the new carrier changes, but I’d also like to add that I saw UPS, FedEx, and Apple package tracking as new “Global” provider settings. Consume is becoming a far more versatile information tracker, and I love how quickly new types of data are being added. In addition to these changes, the Settings page of  Consume has also been revamped. There’s now a very friendly set of four slides in a Help & Tips section that shows you how the app works. The most surprising part about this update was that it was approved literally overnight. Developer bjango was talking just yesterday about what new features were included in 1.6, and today I woke up to see the update in the App Store. Read More

Read More

FourSquare, Ramp Champ, Let’s Golf, Video Panorama, Consume — TiPb Picks of the Week
Mini_discussion_bubble The iPhone Blog - Posted Tue, 19 Jan 2010 20:43:47 UTC +00:00
By Rene Ritchie, Tuesday, Jan 19, 2010 | Every week a few of us from team TiPb, bloggers and forum crew alike, will bring you our current favorite, funnest, most useful App Store apps, WebApps, jailbreak apps, even the occasional accessory, web site, or desktop app if the mood strikes us. As long as they’re iPhone (or iPod touch) related, they’re fair game. So who’s on deck this week and what are our picks? Find out after the break! I am really getting into the whole location-based check-in concept. There are several tools out there but my favorite right now is foursquare. The app and service is free, it scans Twitter, Facebook and your iPhone’s address book for friends. This makes finding friends that use foursquare easy. You have weekly leaderboards to compete with friends and a todo list of places to check out. Give foursquare a try! [Free - iTunes Read More
Review: bjango’s Consume usage monitor for iPhone
Mini_discussion_bubble iSource - Posted Wed, 06 Jan 2010 20:58:23 UTC +00:00
Don’t be fooled by Consume’s icon: this usage monitor has nothing to do with pie. There isn’t even a pie chart anywhere in the app, and trust me, I’ve looked. No, Consume is actually a phone and internet plan counter, and it shows you all of the relevant account information on cards  (similar to the default Stock and Weather applications). So instead of worrying about whether you’ve been texting too much or used up too much data while tethering, you can simply load up the app up and check. Depending on how much of your plan you’ve used up, Consume could easily become the bearer of bad news, but even bad news looks good within the confines of this UI. Setup Setting Consume up is very easy, although you’ll have to know the login and passwords for your carrier and internet accounts. I’d also suggest you take a look at the Read More
Keep Tabs on Your Data Consumption with Consume for iPhone
Mini_discussion_bubble Mashable - Posted Fri, 11 Dec 2009 17:31:32 UTC +00:00
by It’s no secret that iPhone users are data whores. Whether it’s the access they have to data-connect applications, the ability they possess to stream video and audio, or how they utilize the Web browsing experience in general, iPhone owners as a group use more data than the average smartphone user. Just the other day, AT&T’s Ralph de la Vega put some of the blame for the network’s notoriously unreliably coverage on users themselves, going so far as to say that the company is considering a usage-based pricing scheme in the future. De la Vega does bring up an interesting point, however: Most users don’t know how much bandwidth they are consuming. Fortunately, there’s an app for that. In fact, the next version of Bjango’s Consume for the iPhone will include support for AT&T Wireless customers in the U.S.Consume [iTunes link] is a usage monitor for the iPhone and the iPod Read More
