In unregelmäßigen Abständen halte ich an dieser Stelle meine ersten beiden Homescreen-Seiten vom iPhone fest. Zuletzt erfolgte dies im August 2010, Januar 2010 sowie September 2009. Für mich von Spannung ist dabei welche Apps sich immer noch auf meinem Geräte befinden, welche komplett verschwanden oder sich eventuell (nur) verschoben haben. by eBay has released version 2.0 of its primary Phone app, eBay Mobile, the company announced Monday. Version 2.0 [iTunes link], which appeared in the App Store Friday, allows users to buy and sell on eBay’s flagship auction site, as well as scan product barcodes for comparison shopping. Previously, the latter two capabilities were available only in independent apps, eBay selling [iTunes link] and RedLaser [iTunes link], the latter of which was acquired in June. Now users can do everything on their iPhones that they could previously do on eBay.com — and then some. Even though Foursquare has already received a general update for iOS4, it seems they’re still adding new features. eBay’s iPhone app has received an upgrade to version 1.4.0 and now includes push notifications and the ability to pay with PayPal directly from the app. The new push notification feature can let users know when they have been outbid or when the auction of a watched item is about to end. eBay’s iPhone App, eBay Mobile, has been updated to include push notifications for outbid and end-of-auction alerts. I haven’t used eBay to buy or sell things in several years (thanks to Craigslist), but I imagine this update will be very useful for those who are active eBay-ers. The update also includes several other enhancements, such as in-app Paypal support. eBay Mobile 1.4 is available for free in the iTunes App Store (link). Ebay 1.4.0 just hit the App Store and it adds the ability to receive Push Notifications when you’re outbit and/or when the bidding period is coming to an end for an item you’re watching. You can download Ebay here. I haven’t used Ebay in years but I’m sure it’s still a way of life for some people. Does this feature make the site useful again? 1. Change color of search bar and the new grey toolbar. Doesn't fit eBay theme
2. Would be nice if we could now delete messages while looking at our inbox list instead of having to tediously go into every message to delete them.
3. How bout more features for sellers. This app is fantastic if you wanna buy something but not is much effort is shown for the seller side. We should be able to put a basic listing up right from the phone. Take pictures with a camera button or upload from roll. Think about this. It would be a knock out.

Very useful - but it makes me a tad uneasy to think that anyone who picks up my phone can open this app and start bidding willy-nilly using my eBay account. Oddly enough, the free PayPal iPhone app has a simple PIN you have to use to access the app, and I can't help but wonder why they didn't add the same feature here. I was quite excited when this app and it's updates became available, but this far it has failed to meet my expectations. Clearly geared towards buyers, the app allows you to bid, buy, and watch an item, but leaves out the ability to contact the seller for some reason. Sellers will be frustrated by the lack of tools such as posting, editing, reading and responding to messages, and reading and leaving feedback. As a constant traveler and seller this app fails to impress me, would be three stars for it's buying tools, but the total wreck of selling tools caused me to remove a star. Not worth it yet, hopefully future updates will fix this.

This is one of the most finely crafted applications I have seen for the iPhone yet. Obviously, the developers who are responsible for this application should be promoted or rewarded greatly!

I genuinely like this application. You can search, bid, and keep track of your “My eBay” stuff: items you’re bidding on, selling or watching. As a seller, I can see how my auction is going, which is great. But I can’t check the feedback history of a bidder, or view an auction’s bidding history. I also can’t see or respond to questions about my open auctions from potential buyers, like I can in a web browser.

This app is a awesome. I can keep tabs on my auctions and do searches without navigating the web site pages in Safari. Never I will never miss another auction while away from my computer.
