The removal of the "free memory" functionality, while slightly disappointing, does not ruin this application by any means. This is one of the most useful apps I have on my iPhone, because it allows me to monitor not only this device, but also my server from 200 miles away. So, to all those who are leaving bad reviews for this well-built monitoring tool: Shame on you! Shame on all of you; you're acting like little children who have had their toy taken away. First of all, Apple wouldn't remove that feature without a good reason to. After all, they are the ones who develop the iPhone, remember? If it weren't for Apple, you wouldn't have your precious toy to begin with! Secondly, you only paid $0.99 for this app! For the amount of features you get with it, I think that dollar goes a long way. And if the only reason you bought this app was for the "free memory" feature, then you only have yourselves to blame for your disappointment. Lastly, Bjango works hard to provide quality apps for all of us, and I'm sure they don't at all appreciate the childish outbursts in their feedback. So, all of you have one of the most advanced mobile devices on the planet, and you're complaining about something this small and insignificant? Well, grow up, buttercup! Why don't you try being thankful for what you do have for a change? My goodness! I have had this app for months and liked it mainly due to the free memory feature. Now that it was removed this app is pointless. Don't waste your money.

The reason I bought this app was to simply free up memory without shutting my phone off.....they took that away. What a waste. We're not all techies,gadget crazed guys with iPhones. Just playing the radio or a podcast is as simple as that. Keep the change. You need it more than me. DELETED

The option to "free memory" is GONE! This is the reason I got it in the first place and now it's worth NOTHING! A battery status was added but for what? It's already an included setting on the iPhone. I warned all my friends who have this app to not update....waste of money!!!

This app was awesome because it allowed me to free up my memory and keep my iPhone working properly. The ability to monitor other devices is cool but somewhat useless without the ability to change anything. I think the attack on all the other reviews that reflect this opinion is uncalled for and should be removed for attacking individuals.

Hey Bryan Burke, what kind of reviewer are you to lecture others. Many of us paid for the free memory feature, now we have it taken away by your all mighty Apple. When any company or developer sells something, they certainly do not have the right to take it back after the fact.

Apple forced the developer to remove the feature I wanted AFTER I paid for it. I would like my money back, please.

I aquired this app on my MacBook pro and my iPhone for the purpose of freeing ip memory to keep everything running smooth. It worked great till this newest update where the Free Memory function has appeared to have been removed? Please bring this feature back asap!

Free memory option is gone. This app is useless now!!! Do not upgrade if you have this app. Bjango should offer customers a refund. The main reason a majority of people bought this app was for the free memory option.

I jumped the gun on the latest update. What was once a very useful app is now pointless for me since they REMOVED THE FREE MEMORY feature. Apple meddles yet again. Now I can just see I have 3 MB free and have to restart the phone. Brilliant. Perhaps not the developers fault but nonethelss I paid for X and now have -X.

I purchased this program specifically for it's "free memory" feature. I considered this operation to be one of the larger reasons for purchasing this software. Without thus functionality I regret making this purchase despite it's minimal price tag. Add the feature back in and this program gets 5 stars and is worth every penny.

We realize alot of people are not going to be happy that the "free memory" feature has been removed in 1.1. Unfortunately Apple gave us no choice. They demanded it was removed so we had to comply. We hope that people will understand and we will keep adding new features (such as battery info which is in 1.1) that will hopefully make up for the loss of "free memory".

The app does seem to do its job by freeing up the memory, however, it seems one of the things it might be freeing up is the push email service. I've tested several times and as soon as I free up memory on my phone using this app, my push email no longer works. I have an iPhone 3GS and using push email with Yahoo. Hopefully this gets fixed because i can't use this app if it kills the push feature.

I just freed up 159MB on the iPhone 3GS 32GB, seems to be more responsive. THANKS.

Overal great but does lack a few things like hard drive write/read, temprature rpm

Wish it had all the info iStat (ie. MacBook battery level). Also internal drives only show up with generic icon, even though I'm using a custom icon.

It freezes and restarts my iphone a lot of times!!

This has been a very useful app. Monitoring my Macs remotely has been great since I do a lot video encoding and I can easily check if my Mac is still burning on all cores anywhere in the house, while playing with my 6 month old. The remote stats can be used for so many different applications (of monitoring your Macs) which makes this app versitile. The free up memory opens up more memory than other apps I've used.

Need to be able to bypass the screen dimmer though.

The installation is great, and takes no time at all. You will need to download iStat Server and run that on your Mac, but that also takes no time and installs without any problems. If you want a great monitoring tool for both your iPhone and you Mac, this is it... the price point is fantastic! I would also highly suggest you look on-line at their monitoring tools for the Mac, they are "Free" and really well developed!

Works so well, got up to 56mb freed up!

I don't usually write reviews but this program doesn't work. I've even had my IT guy look at it. iPhone won't connect to my MBP. I'd like a refund. Bought it on sale and still paid too much.

Works great. Love being able to monitor my MacBookPro. Keeps my iPhone running smoothly with free memory.

This is better then free memory it freed up 60mb

But there is no software for PC or Linux. Add these and fix the free memory crashes and 5 stars. By the way, I just got 57 MB freed, with screencap.

Good start....should have temp of iphone, cell strength, battery charge. I have istat pro and istat menus for my MBP and love them. i'm sure istat for iphone will get better as it goes along!!

This application is great. It allows you to monitor the system specs of your iPhone, empty unused memory (previously this is where a reboot would have been necessary), monitor the system specs and status of all of your other computers (I think that the iStat Pro widget needs to be installed for this to work), Ping computers, trace routes. This application is just simply amazing.

Yes the app hangs sometimes when freeing memory but that is an issue with all memory freeing apps. As far as battery status I am under the impression it is in violation of the sdk guidelines.

This app, even though it appears visually as refined as it's Mac counterpart, is not complete. Engine-wise, it's a slow processor that 2 out of 3 times will hang your phone, and cause it to reboot. Now it's just my opinion, but I didn't need to pay 1.99 for an app that reboots my phone. I can do that for free. Memoryinfo is a much better app, even though it is not as visually pleasing as iStat, it actually does it's job for half the price. I gave this product two stars for the GUI, but it would only get a one star or lower for functionality.

This app is amazing! It as a great interface and works perfectly with my mac. The only thing that I wish it had was the ablility to view it in landscape mode at least for the graphs. Hopefully this feature will be in future updates. Otherwise, great app!

The app is great. It has plenty of useful information, but what would really make this app excel is if you could tap or doubletap a section and have the screen change to an extremely detailed layout of your selected section. For example, it might simply enlarge the graph or maybe switch to a different type of graph (to show time maybe). For monitoring Macs, it really should include everything in the standard iStat Pro. (iPod stats could be expounded upon as well. Battery, CPU if that's possible...)

I've used the iStat Pro widget for my Mac, and it's the perfect way to monitor your system. This app is great for monitoring remotely, and it's incredibly useful and affordable for the iPhone too. I love it.

Beware!! This app will crash the iPhone and require you to do an OS reload to recover. The limited value of its features are no way equal to the hassles of fixing the problems.

If you enjoy having your device freeze up whenever you free memory, then go ahead and waste your cash. I will stick to restarting my phone or using FreeMemory app which is free and works!

And it's the most beautiful and iPhone-like of all similar apps, BUT it is missing running processes and wifi networks/connections (for the price) -- also, it shows more free disk space than my iphone does?!?!

Paid for the app and then they dropped the price, then never replied when asked about it. Wish I could return it. Also photos in the app store shows your custom icons for the hard drives however they don't. They said that is a feature of the next release, then don't showoff something it cannot do. Maybe they will contact me soon.

If your gonna use this app for only Freeing up memory... just restart your phone. The app will do it anyways.

It works as advertised; however: be prepared for a major 'slow down' of your computer when you install the required iStat server.

when it works, it's great, clears memory, but that's a 50/50 shot. Other half of the time it either reboots my phone (didn't need to pay for that) or hangs my phone and I have to restart. Nice tool for monitoring Mac's on my home network though and nice interface.

Love this app. I downloaded "Free Memory" before I found this...this is WAY better. This just let me go from 33 to 44. The Free Memory app only "frees memory" if you are 20 or below. This app looks and functions great.

This is a very useful program and does what it says it will on vers 1.. If there is one thing I would like changes is the server app make it headless like your regular istat program so it does not show in the dock...Great product well done

I don't really care about the iPhone status, I have several Xserves in a colo facility that this is perfect for. Apple provides little to no monitoring of their servers remotely, so this is a glad addition to my arsenal of tools. What they need to add is push notifications for thresholds for things like CPU, network utilization, and if they could shoehorn hardware monitoring for Apple's hardware raid card that would be a welcome enhancement. This app could have been 10 times the price and I would have gladly paid that much for it.

I don't usually write reviews, but this application is a fine piece of work. The app has a beautiful interface, and is fast and extremely responsive. It presents all sorts of useful information not only about computers running iStat, but also about the iPhone itself, which was a big selling point for me. It even has network tools like ping and traceroute. To be perfectly honest, I wasn't even aware of half these features when I clicked the Buy button, but I am extremely happy with my purchase. Worth every penny.

Good job on this one mates! I love the monitoring of network computers, but the ability to free up RAM on my iPod is wonderful. Other apps that ran slow without a restart now run fast! Not to mention this app has style.

I have been waiting for such an app. One you install iStat Server on any Mac (free @ bjango.com) you can see the current state of that machine (cpu/mem/hd/temp/etc) right from your phone. Very nice and clean interface. Great way to keep an eye on one or many servers. The iPhone app allows you to remember as many servers as you like.

Well , I must say I love the app. So why I'm frustrating ? It's not because if app, but because of stupid ignorant users rating this app. The app store used to be very informative and high rated place. Needs a battery charge indicator!! Some kind of speedtest or connection monitor would make it perfect.

If you are a Mac user expecting to see an app like dashboard's iStat Nano or Pro for iPhone/touch, this isn't what are u searching for. This app just shows a little bunch of useless infos about your iPhone/touch and nothing more. Doesn't shows even battery status and wireless signal strength. Its just kinda an app to get infos of a mac remotely.

I spent about 5 minutes setting up two computers and my phone and it's works great. It would me great of there was a Linux and solaris server daemon then I could use it at work.

This app really is great. I used iStat pro for a while now and loved the idea of having it on my iPhone too. Also the possibility to look at my system from anywhere made me very curious.

This is the type of app I've been waiting for. Great UI, easy setup, executes exactly as described. I was able to set up both personal machines and my office Xserves with no issues. Brilliant.

I've used iStat pro for my mac for a couple of years. Mostly it's just there to satisfy my curiosity about my MBP, but every once in a while it comes in handy when I need actually system performance information. That's all great for the MBP. But my company also has two Xserves and now iStat pro let's me monitor them "anytime, anyplace." Buy it now before these guys wise up and start charging what it's really worth. What? You get as many free server-side installs as you want to broadcast the stats to your $1.99 iPhone client? Unheard of!

Provides detailed info on my Mac servers at a CoLo (mem, disks, temps, network, load) as well as providig iPhone info (mem, "disk", IP, MAC address). Does great job of freeing memory on the iPhone as well as emailing info. Highly recommended!!! Would like to see top processes in an update.

This app freezes an iPhone every time the "free memory" option is used. That makes it useless for iPhone's. Other people are reporting this too, so it will happen to you.

Very useful utility that I use to monitor my servers hosted at Macminicolo.net. I certainly hope to see the iStat server engine used for other monitoring use in the future.

Keeping in the spirit of istat for the mac (which is amazing in itself), this app delivers in all respects. Only thing it's missing is a 'top' and 'kill' command. 5 stars anyway... Add 'top' and it's worth 6-7 stars.

An app can't make it on good looks alone, but it certainly can add to an already great app. iStat has a beautiful interface and the application itself is very handy. I installed iStat server on my Mac mini server and now I can keep an eye on it from anywhere.
