I happened to buy my iPhone 3G a couple of weeks before the 3GS was launched. Now, with the iPhone 4 on the market, and just a little after a year of buying it, my 3G is already two generations old. So embarrasing. I upgraded my iOS to 4.0 for a couple of days, but that made my iPhone 3G frustratingly slow. So I moved back to 3.1.3. The feeling of being obsolete is quietly developing. The newest release of Twitter for iPhone (the official app) doesn’t work on my iPhone anymore. What their site says about this situation is pretty much “we know it crashes, we are working on it”. But I really think that as soon as I close my browser, they laugh at us 3.1.3 users. Thank God we still have Osfoora. Tried this one on a whim and am very pleased. Very polished interface. Landscape typing, url shortening, tap-and-old menu on timeline for common features (RT, reply, favorite, translate etc.). Very smooth. I like the conversation bubble icon in timeline when tweets are part of conversation.
Wish it had pull down refresh though. But does have auto-refresh at bottom of timeline screen when scrolling.
Search and list support work well.
In summary, for a 1.0 release this app is very nice. Keep an eye on it for sure.
Note: Osfoora is made to be the replacement of app Landscape Tweeting.
