About Priceless Picks - The world is full of priceless things. That’s why we’ve built the “Priceless Picks” application for the iPhone and iPod Touch. It helps you share your favorite places and amazing deals with the world, and it can show you all the great things around you that other people have tagged as priceless, on a highly interactive and customized map.

The perfect bench to catch a sunset, the best pizza on earth, a secret spot to watch the world go by – we call them "Priceless Picks," and they're all here, submitted by people just like you.

But this application isn’t just about finding the coolest stuff wherever you happen to be; it’s also about sharing your favorites with the world.
Submitting is easy: The app uses your phone’s GPS to find your current location. All you've got to do is type in the name and a little description, and it takes care of the rest.
The best part is, since it’s powered by people, you’ve got access to the best insider picks that you won't find anywhere else. And because people across the country submit every day, there are always new things to find and try for yourself.

FEATURES
- GPS functionality uses your current location to show you priceless experiences, and great deals in your immediate location.

- Ability to submit your own priceless places, favorite restaurants, places to shop, etc. by using GPS or by manually entering a street address.

- Revolutionary 3D Birds-Eye Map View puts you right in the middle of all the picks in your area, and makes it easy to navigate through them to find exactly what you’re looking for.

- Traditional 2D Overhead Map View allows you to quickly navigate anywhere, using pinch zooming and dragging functionality that you’re already used to. - Picks submitted by users are identifiable as round “bubbles” on the map.

- Offers and reviews are contained in square "bubbles,” so you always know exactly who the recommendations and deals are coming from.

- We’ve even broken them out into five categories that you can easily filter through, to make finding what you're looking for even faster: “Priceless,” “Dining,” “Shopping,” “Entertainment,” and “Other.”

- And when you do find or submit something you love, sharing it with a friend is easy, thanks to a built-in email function that lets you send your favorites without having to close the application.

MasterCard Releases Person-To-Person Payment App MoneySend for BlackBerry
Mini_discussion_bubble ReadWriteWeb - Posted Thu, 09 Sep 2010 05:45:16 UTC +00:00
You can't pay with your phone at the register yet, but you can use it to pay the babysitter. MoneySend, an application from MasterCard for sending and requesting money in informal person-to-person transactions, is now out in the BlackBerry App World. MasterCard's app lags significantly behind PayPal's mobile payment app, available for Android, iPhone and BlackBerry, except perhaps that MasterCard has more cache and credibility with older generations. But MoneySend's shortcomings aside, MasterCard is clearly excited about mobile-enhanced shopping. MoneySend for BlackBerry is the latest in a slew of MasterCard-branded apps including Marketplace Overwhelming Offers, which pushes users steep daily discounts, Easy Savings Program, which locates nearby discounts from participating merchants, Priceless Picks, an app to encourage shoppers to geotag and share deals, and ATM Hunter. MoneySend lets users send, request, receive and manage money from the app. Hook the app up to your bank or credit union and link it Read More
MasterCard Launches Woot-Like iPhone App for Daily Deals
Mini_discussion_bubble ReadWriteWeb - Posted Thu, 15 Jul 2010 15:07:30 UTC +00:00
MasterCard recently launched a new mobile application called "MasterCard Marketplace Overwhelming Offers," which delivers daily deals to iPhone users. Despite its mouthful of a name, savvy shoppers planning on purchasing a big-ticket item in the near future may want to keep an eye on this one. Like the popular Internet retailer Woot (just bought by Amazon), the app provides deeply discounted items, available in limited quantities for a limited time. At 12 p.m. Eastern (GMT - 4:00) every day, a new deal is posted to the mobile app, offering "door-buster" type savings of 50% or more on brand-name products from a network of over 28,000 merchants. The offers are made available thanks to MasterCard's partnership with e-commerce company Next Jump, which already powers the desktop version of the MasterCard Marketplace website, launched in April. Some of the past "OO's" (overwhelming offers), as they're called, have included deals like $100 off flights Read More
Priceless Picks
Mini_discussion_bubble AppVee - Posted Fri, 24 Jul 2009 17:21:08 UTC +00:00
Priceless Picks is a unique application that is trying to create a web off user-tagged deals and points of interest in a visually pleasing way. The app is a collection of different location-based points that can be browsed through by dragging your finger along virtual map of the area that you are located in. Because it uses location awareness, it is hard for iPod Touch users to use this app. Points of interest pop up in different colored bubbles with some text about why there is something interesting at that location. Most of the bubbles are different advertisements from the company itself on different products that are on sale. This is sometimes annoying but the good thing is that different categories can be turned off and on. The app overall becomes a collection of what people think is interesting as well as different products that companies want to sell. While the Read More

Really cool but...
Metroddity 4.0 stars Version: 1.0
The only problem I found is that you actually have to be physically present at the location in order to submit it. I also wish there was some sort of profiles so that people could vote for a person's contributions/submissions in the sense of agree/don't agree. Another helpful thing, would be the addition of videos and pictures so that people don't get lost while looking for a store or place.
Wasted app
jack0726 1.0 stars Version: 1.0
Great idea, horrible rollout! The system is bogged down with ads, very few actual customer comments. If they blocked the adds , this would be a great app.
Homophobic????
Lilir71 1.0 stars Version: 1.0
Having my bubble never show on map because it contained the word Gay... Priceless
Not for me
norcal420 2.0 stars Version: 1.0
Couldn't accept the terms & conditions due to the data collection efforts by MasterCard.
Could be good
trackrunner908 4.0 stars Version: 1.0
Could be a good app but it needs participation. A lot.
Worthless for me
brian37 1.0 stars Version: 1.0
In my area, in CT, I've yet to see a deal that's even worth following up on. Heavily weighted towards laptop purchases -- which I can get better deals on on the internet than from my local RadioShack.
Can't use on iPod touch.
hjustin93 1.0 stars Version: 1.0
I don't have location services. Fix it.
Need more work
hsiegelman 2.0 stars Version: 1.0
Slow mapping and no detail on the 'picks'
No user

Seems like an empty map app. Must be fine in large cities, but where I live there's just nothing here and no way to punch in a zip code to see what might be a few towns over. Nice 3D mapping, a bit slow, but nice. Just not enough here to make it worth carrying around.
please try harder
emcodotcom 1.0 stars Version: 1.0
well written interface . incessant one way advertising and music that comes from the device even when the device is hard switched set to mute . this shows that mastercard holds their customers and potential customers just short of contempt . i realize that this is adware , but if mastercard could buy such a nice interface , then why not make it useful ? avoid this app its a billboard for your pocket .
Greatish
JdotTdot 3.0 stars Version: 1.0
Good idea, but it's pretty slow. If there was a satelite or hybrid option for the map it would be easier to use in an unfarmiliar place. Also, if you could place tabs in any area, not just your current location, it would be more tempting to use. Maybe categories, like stores, resaurants, etc. A search engine to find what you need, and a list option, so you can see the tabs in a simpler way.
Sweet
JC1792star 5.0 stars Version: 1.0
Great idea. Obviously needs participation, but could be huge.
Pretty amazing
Edmos 4.0 stars Version: 1.0
This app is worth downloading just for the maps. It will be interesting to see what users post...
Cool but ...
Bhnu 4.0 stars Version: 1.0
Missing 3gs compass functionality to make this an augmented reality app. I want to point my iPhone down any given street and see what is available. Also, overlaying info bubbles on a live camera view would complete the augmented reality option.
Amazing
Dummaloop 5.0 stars Version: 1.0
The interaction with this app is very fun and addicting. Very well engineered and the information is... priceless.
too restrictive
Mike c in by 1.0 stars Version: 1.0
Nice idea and great graphics. However, the restrictions on what can be posted are heavy and take away much of the usefulness of the app. For example, one cannot post alcohol-related offers. I downloaded the app specifically to share with people a great happy hour deal for commuters out of Grand Central Station. As a matter of fact, one cannot enter a specific offer at all. For example, you can't add a specific offer to the app, like "10% off of hamburgers at Johnny's on Tuesdays". Instead, you have to say "Johnny's has great deals". (I took this example from their submission guidelines) With these restrictions, the offers people can record are pretty vague and weak. I'm passing on this app until they loosen up
Interesting app
Ssoo 4.0 stars Version: 1.0
I will be honest I was frustrated with the app at first. Too many garbage ads, hard to zoom in/out, no search. But after playing with it for a while I got the hang of it. Very interesting app. I suspect it will have more and more reviews for places once it gets popular. Also the filters let's me choose what I wanna see so I just turned the shopping off. Looks Luke most garbage offers are in that category. I think I will use this app to explore my neighborhood. Should be interesting.
Great Interface
BumHaven 4.0 stars Version: 1.0
Great map interface. Smooth scrolling and zoom. Overall a cool little app for a big financial company. Whoever gave the 1 star rating complaining about location services get a clue. Try running the app on when connected to a network. Works great on my Touch.
priceless

Cool interface
robaec 5.0 stars Version: 1.0
The app itself is useful, but the interface is entrancing. I had so much fun just exploring my neighborhood. It was amusing to see the info, too. I've liked NFT (notfortourists.com) for a long time, so it was cool to see their content in this. I've already decided to check out a few of the restaurants in my area that I've never been to.
Nice
Big Sal82 4.0 stars Version: 1.0
This is a nice app works very good. I would like to be able to change the location if possible so when I head out of town I can have an idea where I want to go before I get there. Not a big deal still a great app
Great Picks!
GForce10 5.0 stars Version: 1.0
This looks like it will develop into a great app as more and more folk post their picks! Love the graphics and the local offers
Perfect app

Can't believe how local this app goes. Includes great local restaurants to checkout. The 3D view is awesome.
Addiciting!
R.A.Peterson 5.0 stars Version: 1.0
Fun way to see what's in the area - found a new lunch spot, thanks!
This app is better than shoes!
Redseapedestrian 5.0 stars Version: 1.0
I've had shoes for a while and they are pretty good. They protect my feet and look nice, but this app is so much fun to use, I have to say that it would win, if it ever had a fight with shoes.
I found a bargain laptop in less than a minute...
BarceSF 5.0 stars Version: 1.0
While going through my neighborhood with this app, I found a bargain HP laptop for $499 and right next to Trader Joe's. What's cool as you go through different blocks is that the app shows you bargains as well as cool places to eat and drink.
Innovative!
ApolloEagle 5.0 stars Version: 1.0
This is not the first "whats near me" application, but it is the first to think outside the box and create an experience that makes crusing around finding new places, deals, and local secrets a lot of fun. I would love to see in a future release the ability to jump to a city or zip code. Also, the ability to add priceless picks without actually being in that location would be a great addition. Great job!
Wow
Jack P2 5.0 stars Version: 1.0
Love the 3D map. I had fun flipping between the top down map and the 3D map for a few minutes. Very Nice.
Absolutely Amazing !
CaviezelOfCanada 5.0 stars Version: 1.0
I have never seen anything like this ! Kudos to Mastercard for delivering something that is surprisingly entertaining and easy (and helpful) to use.
