UPDATE: Needs to be able to refresh accounts from app. Useless otherwise cause I don't log I everyday and the last time it refreshed was 2 days ago. What's the point off an on the go app if it isn't up to date? As for the app , it's an amazing well thought out app. I'd say the best of all the finance tracking apps. But for a quicken app, it needs a little more functionality. 1. Does not display the balance of your wallet (sure you can count it) but if it did you could make sure everything is balanced. You might have dropped a 20 and didn't know it. 2. Should be able to change info on transactions like you can for cash transactions. 3. There should be an option on quicken.com to change all future transactions so you if you buy groceries at target it won't keep coming up as "home" in the transaction catagories. This would help you stay on your goal budget better cause we don't have time to keep checking andchanging transations. That's why we have this app! All in all this would be 5 stars if those things were change. If they were I would buy quickness or my mac for a seemless integration. I perviously relied on mint.com app but review after review nothing has changed from the initial launch. Take that into consideration and fix this great app to give it all it's potential. I can wait to finally have such a perfect app for transactions, bills, and goals all in one app! Great job

I agree with many users in that it is quite frustrating that you can't "refresh" your accounts from the app - you must be at a desktop pc to get up to date info. You can't even use the iPhone Safari browser to log in cuz quicken auto detects for their "mobile" site and from within you still can't refresh! Also, as one user noted, quite often transactions appear as repeating transactions even when you told it not to.

I would definitely recommend this App over Mint. With Mint you get just as much eye-candy but you can't input transactions. When Credit Cards take a few days to process to show up on your downloadable statement, you'll get inaccurate budget pictures.

Come on quicken! No refresh? What's the point if I need to go to my desktop to refresh? This is a great idea but needs more.

I've been using Quicken for the Palm platform for years. Syncing with the desktop Quicken application was perfect and seemless. Quicken.com is barely useable and the fact there is no desktop conduit is just a waste of time. This application does nothing other than record money spent. You'll still have to go back and re-record into your register (paper or software) to keep track and reconcile your finances. Don't waste your time if you are a user of Intuit's desktop applications.

I am a daily user of Quicken Premier and I have nothing but good things to say about that product. But this is a useless app. Very disappointed!!

My balance hasn't been updated in almost 3 weeks???

This attempts to connect with your financial instutions to download balances. Data is often many days old. Transactions not cleared are hopelessly inaccurate with no way to force an item to be classified as cleared. Until they figure out a way to sync this with Quicken on your PC (like the Windows Mobile version) this is just useless, misleading, and out of date information.

I checked today and data was 15 days old. There is no way to refresh data. Completely worthless until they fix

I was a former Pocket Quicken user and I was hoping for something closer to that program. The desktop version of Quicken is outstanding and allows me to go back and research previous transactions. You lose that in this version. I just want a program that has all my desktop categories and allows me to me to enter transaction when I am on the street. Maybe they could use a cloud like Mobile Me to sync the info between the mobile and desktop version. I will continue to wait till I find a app that can do this.

I have been using Quicken at home for years and I was waiting for the iPhone/iPod version. What a waste that you cannot sync with the pc/mac version.

I've been a Pocket Quicken user since it came out for the Newton MessagePad 120 (i.e., 1995). I've used versions of it on the Palm OS and Windows Mobile, and I've been patiently waiting for the iPhone version. I don't want my financial info in Quicken's cloud. I want it on my Mac desktop. Please, please, please make a version of that syncs with my Quicken Desktop.

I've been waiting for Intuit to catch with Mint with their online offering. This works perfectly for me.

While I also would love to see an app to link with desktop quicken, this is a great first big mobile app from the quicken team...keep it up, guys!!

I have to start out by saying that the problem I have with this app is not the iPhone app itself. It's definitely slick and seems very stable for a 1.0. My problem is that I simply cannot use it. I have years of data for the desktop version that I am tethered to. I addition, the feature set of the online offering is extremely limiting. Some of the lacking features:

This is an amazing app. It's great cause instead of your password you can type a 4 digit passcode! That saves a lot of time. But it would be nict to be able to manually retrieve data. I've been logged in for an hour and it hasn't updatedand I see no refresh button. Also the map is really... lame... But with 3.0 that should be easily fixed I would think All in all a great application

It's a great idea... It refreshes once every couple of days??? That isn't very helpful. In big huge numbers on the home page it tells you what you have left for however many days till pay... Problem is that it was right two or three days ago. For an app that is forward looking it needs to at least update each time you log in or have a seperate button to let you manually update it. Good idea but until it goes real time it is USELESS.

No conceivable reason not to allow this app on iPod Touch.

This only works with quicken online and doesn't sync with the desktop version! Don't get it unless you use & like having your data on someone else server and out of your control!

This is a great idea for an app, but there needs to be a version that syncs with the desktop pc/mac version. Otherwise this app is pretty much useless.

I am so excited that this app is finally here. I love using Quicken Online, but hated using the Quicken Software (I've used both the pc & mac versions). A major plus is that Quicken Online and Quicken Online Mobile are both FREE!!

For people who are complaining that there is no sync for Mac or PC, you're missing the point. This app syncs with Quicken Online, not the desktop versions of Quicken. And Quicken Online is free. Not as many options as the desktop software, but when more than one person is responsible for updating account info (e.g., you and your spouse), it's great.

This app is by far the best app I've used all year besides tweetie! It really helps me to get a glance of my money on a simple budget. It's helping me maximize my effectiveness in accomplishing my goals. It's also beautifully designed like the online version of Quicken!

This app is really great! The only issue I have is there is no option to turn on/off a recurring action. I had a ticket I paid for last month and they put it as a bill to pay for this month. So i deleted it and closed out the app. When i came back the ticket was set for next month. I deleted it again and closed out the app only to find it again for the month of july when i opened the app again. This could be a really annoying issue for some people. Other than that i like everything else. Oh and i dont know if the app is supposed to tell you how much you paid in a particular category for the mobth, but that would be great to! ••Credworthy••

I really like how much of my personal financial is accessible through this app. And, I can't wait to buy something so I can record the expense at the store in the same moment.

This is everything Mint and SplashMoney isn't - editing on the mobile side and stabilty/reliabilty, respectively. I was wondering when Intuit was going to do something with the iPhone and they did with spades. It's obvious that their vast experience with personal finance (Quicken) and accounting in general (QuickBooks) is showing. This is flexlable, powerful app that anyone with an iPhone and money should have. Period. All for free no less...

This app looks fantastic, but unfortunately 1st gen iPod Touches aren't supported, so at the moment I can't actually run it. Fix this problem and I'll fix my review!

I use Quicken Online but this one is more convenient.

I like this app both for its form and function. Nice animation on start-up and a nice, uncluttered UI. Works with my small bank and syncs at a good speed. Better than Mint for me.

This is much slicker and easier than some of those other financial apps out there. Glad to be able to use the same power and features of the desktop version while on the go.

Very simple to use once you set up Quicken on the web. All free if you use Quicken on PC or Mac. Then you have all your accounts at your bank to look at any sort of activity. You can't manipulate your account, just get info, but it should be handy to have this access.

I love this app but for some reason it thinks I get paid ever other week when I get paid weekly. Not sure why since it downloads my transactions so it should know when I get paid.

This app is awesome. There are parts of this app that work better than the already stellar (free) web app. Superior to Mint in almost every way.

Both Quicken Online and Mint.com offer similar value to me via their web pages, but QO wins out for its ability to add in transactions before they clear your bank or credit card accounts. The same is true for the mobile apps, which gives QO a big leg up in my book. Otherwise, the app is nicely polished and stable in early use.

After years of using Pocket Quicken on my Treo I was looking forward to similar functionality on the iPhone. Most of the Quicken users Intuit polled about this app requested the ability to sync with the desktop app and this feature is nowhere to be found. You can't even export transactions from Quicken Online into the desktop application. Intuit should let LandWare release their own version that includes this much needed (and requested) feature.

Quicken has done the best initial version of the app i have seen so far. No Crashes nothing. People are complaining that they cannot sync with their PC or Mac. But this one as title says is for quicken online so i do not know why the poor ratings. But for me this app is great and what i have been looking for. Way better than Mint app. I deleted mint app as soon as i downloaded quicken. This is way better. If you can add some graphs and ability to create some reports to the app when we go landscape that would fit this.

I’ve been waiting for this app for a while and it does not disappoint. This replaces my mobile banking app. All my accounts are in one place, I can view transactions as well as add in cash transactions, by hand, which is very handy. Viewing goals, transactions, payees, and the landscape spending chart are all very nice. Overall I am very happy with this application.

Despite what the description says, the app can't be installed on an iPod Touch. (3 stars because 1 or 2 seems unfair for something I haven't been able to try.)

Great app, that keeps it simple, just like the full online version. Has some neat little tricks that take advantage of the accelerometer.

Since the iPhone came out I have been waiting for a port of Pocket Quicken (from the days of the Newton). Keeping my financial information online does not interest me. I'll keep looking elsewhere.

Yet another "who needs a computer anymore?" app. I was using QO mobile web page, but that was very limited in the information it gave. With the app, I can do pretty much everything I was doing on the computer with QO. Great way to keep all your accounts together and plan expenses.

App is very useful and well put together. However it seems to be missing one huge feature. I cannot find my "REAL BALANCE". This is the balance I am most concerned with as it takes in to account upcoming transactions that have yet to clear. If this item is added to the app, then it would deserve 5 stars. Hopefully this gets added in a future update.

The app installed like butter on my iPod touch and I logged in with no problems. The chart you see when you tilt the app is incredible. I can see everything right there - historical spending and upcoming bills! The ATM feature is really cool too. Best I've seen on the store.

Great app! Have been waiting for this for a while. I used Mint as well and thought their iphone app was decent but not great. My new bank only links up with Quicken Online so I was glad to see Quicken finally came out with this. Functionality is much better than Mint.com app and it's really impressive for a v1.0 in terms of stability/features/etc. My only thing I'd like to see is ability to add notes to a transaction in addition to the category (Mint app doesn't even let you add/change the category). I tend to add lots of notes so I can remember what things were. Great work Quicken!

Very easy to set up. Took me about 20 mins to set it up online. Can edit and add stuff from your phone too! Very easy and clean user interface! I wish this would have came out 6 months ago! Now they just need a QuickBooks app!!!!!

This app is for more than just people living paycheck-to-paycheck. The outlook feature gives me something I never new I wanted. Now I'm officially hooked on Quicken Online. The price is right too. (full disclosure: I work for Intuit)
