Marvel Entertainment and Zumobi have teamed up to bring a new Iron Man application to the iPhone and iPod touch. The free application is more than just a tie-in for the upcoming Iron Man 2 movie, it’s an app designed to keep fans connected to the entire Iron Man universe, provide video clips, downloadable wallpapers, access to movie tickets and more. We got a chance to talk to both Marvel and Zumobi about the app, its development and future plans to bring Marvel properties to mobile devices. Zumobi designed the app to fit in with the existing Iron Man motif. Msnbc.com and Zumobi launched The Rachel Maddow Show application for the iPhone and iPod touch, offering consumers a “new way to enjoy Maddow’s smart look at politics, pop culture and current events.” The free application, features videos and photos — including popular segments “Rachel Re:” and “Ms. Information” — and also allows consumers to access and respond to Rachel’s Twitter updates. Commenting on the announcement, Zumobi’s CEO Ken Willner said: “The Rachel Maddow Show application brings current events, political commentary and other topical stories to a very loyal audience in a highly engaging way. why are people reviewing the show and not the app??? how the app works is what we need to read about. no one cares about al your opinions of the show!!!! The app works great. you have the option of watching your favorite segments or you can watch the whole show if you have time. it's a good app.

Majority of the negative reviews are from people who disagree with Rachel's point of view....this adds nothing to an analysis of the app. This is a great app for those of us who love Rachel's wit and intelligence but miss the occasional show. Photos are top notch and the Twitter feed is great for catching off-the cuff remarks that Rachel loves to throw out there. If you like her show, you'll enjoy this app!

I love the show and now when I miss it, I can grab the podcast on my iPhone. It's a little buggy but after all, my phone is jailbroken. I hope they make the app a little more stable in upcoming releases.

Why do all you reviewers accuse people who disagree with those who voice their opinion against the Obama administration, or a liberal show, an angry Republican? I know that both parties are equally devious but the media likes to play one party off of the other. People, review all the facts and make decisions for yourself, but don't get all your "facts" from one news source. Take everything you come across in this app with a grain of salt. Not that it is covering any of the real issues in America. If you love fluff this is for you.

Anyways, the app does what it says. Runs better on wifi of 3G in terms of the video aspect of it so Edge people, watch out.

Waching the show on podcast is a lot better. No pictures. No additonal background info. Loading of the app and segmentas takes way too long. RM- you can do so much better! An app that the world doesn't need.

Did not understand this app at all, but that is apparently due to me being an uneducated white-male conservative racist bubba-luvin homophobe (you see, I really HAVE seen maddow's head-up-her-bling show and I know what she and her arrogant guests think of free-market capitalists such as myself). So, in the werds of my pappy, "Son, you can't shine a terd!" Maddow's whole production is fiction, and so is this app.

All Maddow all the time! This app gives you one place to find her daily MSNBC podcasts (both audio and video), her selection of daily news she's following... it even includes her twitter feed. I've loved listening to Rachel ever since I first heard her with Chuck D on Air America years ago. I'm glad she's finally come into her own over the past few years. I won't pay for the podcast of her radio show from Air America (nothing to do with her, everything to do with Air America), so I'm glad I can keep up with her witty, sharp, no holds barred self daily with this app. Her MSNBC stuff is better anyway.

Don't see the point of hearing a bunch of folks who agree with each other complain about the people who aren't even in control of what's happening.
I get it: Republicans are bad and should not be allowed to speak.
Entertaining and at times funny, but the negativity and whining, even when done with a smirk, is wearing thin. It was fun when Bush was in office, but why spend so much time and effort talking about what the other party is doing with all that negativity instead of what the new people on charge are going to do in a positive way.

I love how Maddow delivers the news but seeing Tweet all over her app gives me a yucky feeling. I want news, the truth, not tweets. Maybe I'll get used to it... The other downer was every video I watched, the voice and picture were not in sync, which made me turn it off. I will stick to watching her on tv.

Look, (pause. sigh.) Rachel Maddow is a very well paid, scripted pundit recruited, and employed by "NBC Universal". NBC Universal is almost (80%) completely owned by General Electric. GE is one of the largest holders of defense weapon contracts with the US Government, and that's just for starters. MSNBC is the "progressive" flip to "right-wing" Fox. It's a well-crafted performance of just two sides, meant to dumb down and divide. GE pulled their ads from Air America, (where Maddow was doing a show) essentially because at the time they couldn't control the reporting. They then hire Maddow as their own!!

Make the photos in the picture section large enough to be legible on the iPod machine please? I couldn't read the protesters sign or the Rumsfeld brief, and there's no way to expand them.
