This app ROCKS! So useful for people like me always on the run. I found the fares a little off but it's only an estimation so I guess it ok. But as far as finding nearby taxi companies, this app is the best available!! Saved my butt quite a few times ;)

I bought this app to use while on a trip. The first 5 numbers it provided for a cab were all wrong! The first one was a completely wrong number. The other 4 were out of service. I ended up finding a bus. What a waste.

I bought this after it was advertised in an Apple email, so I trusted it. I bought it even after seeing how few stars it got, because the creators asked that you not look at the reviews, stating all the bugs had been fixed. However it's still almost worthless! I live in NYC, and knowing which cab to call in a strange part of town, and not totally get ripped off, would be a miracle. So I bought this for the cab company ratings. But it doesn't come WITH ratings--you rate the cab companies yourself, for your own future reference--what good is that?? Also it seems like they just added anything from the phone book with the word "cab" in it--in Brooklyn it even listed "Cab's retirement home." By that method they should have included the words "car service" at least, but they didn't! I hope the people that created this app read this, and fix these problems, because as it stands I want my money back!

2.0 edit: very nice update. The ole map was kinda slow so I wasn't using it but this new version fixes that so I'll give it a try.

Acts as a proxy to Google. It gives you phone numbers, which is semi-useful, but it's not really worth paying for. The design is ugly, to boot.

I've had this on my iPod for months, just waiting for the moment I needed it. Tonight I tried to find a cab for an elderly couple. When I called the numbers this app listed, all I got were fax numbers and office listings! Had a heck of a time finding even one actual dispatch number! Don't bother.

(02-Feb-09) This app was better a few versions ago. Since late October 2008, the developers have regressed so that now the "route finder" capability is broken and sometimes can't be escaped except to quit the app. The font is still gimmicky and hard to read. Search results still appear in some haphazard order, instead of alphabetical or by reviewer rating. In fairness the application is still ambitious, just not well designed or implemented. I'm ditching this one in favor of a free taxi app also available here at the iTunes store. Sorry guys but none of my suggestions were ever implemented and the broken bits got worse, not better.
