Connected to the same router as SAMSUNG TV, it automatically searches SAMSUNG TV and works as an ordinary remote control.
- Ordinary Remote Control : Performs basic functions.
- Gesture Remote Control : Changes channel/volume by leaning the remote control after touching the screen.
- Keyboard : Enters characters readily for the internet, TV and so on.
- Game Remote Control : Provides UI for games on internet TV.
* Touch Pad : When you drag up/down/left/right on the main page, ordinary remote control, channel/volume and arrow keys start to work based on the TV status.
** Directions : The Wi-Fi remote control performs only when connected to the same router as SAMSUNG TV and Wi-Fi remote control in the setup menu should be switched on.

Ende Mai konnte ich mich zu einem neuen TV-Kauf durchringen. Voraussetzung war (unter anderem) eine iPhone-App, die die Bedienung vereinfacht. Außerdem habe ich tatsächlich ein Problem mit der Optik dieser TV-Totschläger, welche durch die Bank weg von allen Herstellern beigelegt werden. Entschieden habe ich mich für einen Samsung LED D7090 mit 46-Zoll-Bildschirmdiagonale (Affiliate-Link). ‘Entschieden’ ist jedoch genau genommen die falsche Wortwahl: Ich habe irgendwann aufgegeben, mich durch Produktnummern und Feature-Vergleiche zu wühlen. Es bleibt eine Frechheit, wie käuferunfreundlich sich hier alle TV-Produzenten zeigen. Natürlich heißt der UE46D7090 in Finnland UE46D7000. Natürlich steht auf der Gehäuserückseite UE46D7005LU. Natürlich gibt’s dieses Modell unter der finnischen Bezeichnung auch auf Amazon.de aber natürlich nicht auf Samsung.de. Wie gesagt, ich habe aufgegeben und dieser YouTube-Vorstellung und einer aktuellen Audiovision-Testbewertung (kostenlos; App Store-Link) vertraut. Ovviamente sarà possibile controllare tutte le funzioni standard ed inoltre potrete utilizzare l’accelerometro e le gestures per interpretare diversi comandi. Sarà possibile anche giocare ai giochi presenti nel televisore scegliendo “Game Remote” oppure trasformarlo in una tastiera per navigare facilmente in internet tappando su “Keyboard”. This app is not bad, but your Samsung TV needs to have WiFi capability to use it. Some newer already have this function on it, but most need an adaptor made specifically by Samsung to give it Wifi functionality.

The App was released today. I have a Samsung TV that's a year old; the App could not discover the TV. When you go to the TV Remote Support, good luck with trying to find the support you need. I'm going to wait to see if they actually get this app fixed so that it really will discover Samsung TV's as they have you to believe. Also, when you go to support and put in Apple, Remote, App, etc., nothing actually comes up. Samsung, this is a great idea just get it to work.
