My rundown of the best apps to use with multiple social networks. If you’re anything like me, you’re probably attached at the hip to your social networks. However, I know I’m not the only one who has many that I’ve abandoned simply out of frustration of having to constantly check and update different pages or apps for each one. With this in mind I’ve put together a Favorite Four that the update-aholics can appreciate. Here are a few of my favorite iPhone apps to update multiple sites at once. Tweetdeck I put this one here first not because it’s necessarily the best, but it is definitely one of the more well-known. Tweetdeck is what I personally use most often since I’ve cut down my addiction to just the essentials, Twitter and Facebook, which is exactly just what Tweetdeck works with. It’s a great app for both reading and updating. While it

The statistics indicate that small businesses with corporate blogs receive 55% more web traffic than small businesses that don’t blog. That’s why it is so important for companies to explore the possibility of adding blogs to their marketing and social strategies. Blogging isn’t just writing posts. You have to choose images for your posts, monitor your blogging platform and analytics, market your blog and constantly think about new post ideas. To keep your blogging activities flexible, there are several iPhone apps that you can use. This allows you to keep up with your blog no matter where you are. These 16 apps will help you do just that.

With the undeniable popularity and success of the iPhone 4 (despite the antenna debacle), iPad, and ever-increasing Mac sales, Apple is gaining customers faster than ever. If you're thinking about making the switch, this could be your perfect setup. Component one: iPhone 4 Now in its fourth iteration, Apple's iPhone has forever changed the mobile phone landscape by thrusting touch-screen technology to the tips of every tech geek's tongue and every consumer's wish list. Despite its early and somewhat overblown issues, iPhone 4 has had record-setting sales. With the exception of the complaints from a vocal minority regarding its antenna, critics love the iPhone 4. Think of iPhone 4 as your mobile communications component in this setup. With it, you can send text messages; make calls; send e-mail, instant messages, and tweets; update Facebook; and check in with Foursquare. Of course, you can play games and download other apps to the

By Leanna Lofte, Thursday, May 20, 2010 | So you have an iPhone and you use Twitter, but with the plethora of Twitter applications available in the App Store (including one that just went official), which do you chose? TiPb is here to help with a Twitter app roundup! Now this is not your typical top 5 or top 10 must-have, best Twitter app list. This is about options and alternatives, and Ally, Leanna, and guest writer Alli Flowers have chosen the following 12 to review and help narrow your search: To see what we had to say, follow us after the break! Previously known as Tweetie, Twitter for iPhone [Free - iTunes link] is the official Twitter application from Twitter. It is full featured and easy to use. Swiping a tweet will get you reply options, and tapping the tweet will allow you to view attached photos or url’s. The

When you think about what the best iPad-optimized app would be, what’s the first thing that comes to mind? A word processing app? A game? A comic book reader? What about Twitter apps? Yes, Twitter apps! Tweetdeck looks and works wonderfully on my MacBook’s 13.3″ screen, allowing me to be the best Twitterer I can possibly be. Just imagine that kind of power on an even more portable device, the iPad. But none of the major iPhone Twitter app developers have committed to the iPad quite yet, including Tweetdeck. That is until now. In our quest to track down every potential iPad app developer, we decided to shoot an email to Gedeon Maheux of the Iconfactory in hopes of getting some juicy details regarding Twitterrific for the iPad. Although we didn’t come away with any screenshots or specific information, we were able to confirm that they are indeed working on an

TweetDeck, one of the most popular free Twitter iPhone clients out there and our own favorite just got a long awaited update. The 1.3 version of Tweetdeck brings a lot of new features that finally puts it up to speed with Twitter’s not-so-recent additions. You can finally access lists and display them as a separate column or use the new retweet function (if you desire so). Furthermore it now lets you geo-tag your tweets and lastly, one of the most interesting new features, you can now have the app plot a column’s tweets on a map. Check out the preview:

December 28th, 2009 James Isabel I’m pretty sure it’s just a coincidence that soon after we published Best Buy’s Fail of the Day, the free “free app” promotion seemed to have ended. Although! We’d like to bathe in the fake self entitlement that our post urged them to remove the promotion hahahaha! Let’s say I’d like to take advantage of this “offer” and buy 50 Cent’s Before I Self Destruct album, take a look at the circled note: Oh yay! This is the link where I can find out more about how to get the ALREADY (and has always been) FREE app: See what those idiots at Best Buy just did? All we can say is HAHAHA! I don’t seriously understand how this promotion came to existence in the first place. DEAD Fake Promotion If you head on over to http://BestBuy.com/TweetDeck you’ll also be taken to the dead landing page. LESSON

The iPhone isn’t capable of true multitasking if you’re running a legit, non-jailbroken device, so you can’t do something like, say, have Facebook and Twitter open at the same time. Thanks to the latest update, though, for TweetDeck for the iPhone (free, iTunes link), you can experience most of the advantages of that hypothetical situation using only one app. The newest version of TweetDeck for iPhone has lots of new features, but by far the most significant is the ability to add columns that show updates from your Facebook friends (and MySpace, too, if you’re a musician or a 13 year-old who somehow got transported to the future from the year 2000). You can read updates, yes, but you can also do wall posts, comment on things, and update your own status, all without leaving the app. You can even “Like” someone’s status update from the zoomed in view. Really, if

TweetDeck was recently updated to version 1.11 (news via iPhoneFreak), so I decided to give this free Twitter app another shot. I had shied away before because TweetDeck always seemed like one of the more hardcore Twitter apps out there. The iPhone version is really just a port of the Adobe Air desktop version which focuses on managing your Twitter life in columns. It’s actually so powerful it strikes me more as a piece of machinery than an application. That’s not to say it isn’t a cool, tech-y UI, but I find the depth of the features a little intimidating and sometimes a little clumsy compared to other Twitter clients I’ve tried. Would you like some buttons to go with your buttons? Part of the reason this app strikes me as being similar to a machine is the number of buttons it has. There are a lot of buttons to press

Nov 11th 2009 at 11:00AM I've been decently happy with TweetDeck, changing over when it was first released. This latest update? The best thing is that both photos and text take just seconds to upload rather than the iffy 20-24 seconds it had taken. TweetDeck even with it's reliance on AIR is hands-down my favorite desktop client, and I've used [and paid for], but I keep going to TweetDeck on the iPhone only to be disappointed time after time. It crashed 4 times while trying to set it up, and at varying steps in the process which made it hard to blame one step that I could skip in order to proceed, one of which was that unlike the desktop app, you are required to allow TweetDeck to update Facebook [if you so choose to add FB access at all], or not be allowed to continue, which was also one of

After a couple of issues, TweetDeck is back on the App Store and it brings some interesting new features to the Twitter on iPhone world, actually it’s just what it needs in its fight with the excellent Tweetie. It also looks like they got some preferential treatment when you look at how quickly the fix got approved, for reminder they had to pull the app a couple of days ago because of a buggy update. The first and probably most interesting new feature is the Facebook integration, it’s already been there for a while on the desktop version and this addition is definitely welcome. It lets you follow status updates, comment them or write on walls. A further improvement is the integration of 12seconds.tv that will let those who possess a 3GS post 12 seconds videos to their twitter and facebook accounts. Finally you’ll be now able to tweet in landscape mode,

TweetDeck's new Facebook support. TweetDeck, the popular Twitter app for the iPhone, was pulled from the Apple App Store on Monday due to a crippling crash bug. An update was quickly resubmitted to Apple and the new version (1.1.1) is now available for download (iTunes Link). The new version includes Facebook integration, video uploading, and support for Twitter trending topics. The Facebook support in TweetDeck for iPhone works very well, allowing you to add columns from Facebook by either selecting a feed of all your friends or separating them into groups. The feed support is restricted to status updates, so you cannot see when new photos or events are posted, but comments and Likes on status updates are visible. It also allows users to comment or Like a post from the app as well as post a message on someone's wall. Of course, Facebook's own iPhone app is a much more

Our illustrious UK author, Ben Robinson, joins us from IntoMobile Towers this episode! The Signal grows again, now that we’ve got four writers linking up for this week’s episode. This week’s top news is a bit of a mish-mash. The N900 rocks the roost for top story, and Stefan gives us his expert take on Maemo and the new Nokia (NYSE: NOK) handset that straddles MID and smartphone categories nicely. Ben tells us about CoPilot Live, a navigation app for iPhone he’s been trying out, Will gives us the run-down on Google (NSDQ: GOOG)’s crowdsourcing for traffic data, and I talk about the huge accessories market and how surprising (or not) the figures are. As for giveaways, this week we’re tossing out some invisibleSHIELDs for the or 3GS to our U.S. listeners. Earlier this year we showed you how to create groups for Twitter. While the post is still a valuable resource, we’ve definitely seen a few new tools pop up that are also worth a look. When it comes to Twitter groups, you’re probably either interested in ways to communicate with a distinct set of users, or following a group of tweets based on Twitterer, topic, or hashtag. We’ve identified and separated out the web, desktop, and mobile apps that help you satisfy the group function of your choosing. If you’re looking to create Twitter groups that allow for public or private communication between multiple Twitterers, you’ve definitely got a few choices. The apps listed below will allow you to, in one fashion or another, create custom groups allowing you to tweet to just a specified group of Twitterers. Twitter4Groups: The most basic of the bunch.

Two high profile iPhone Twitter apps have been updated in the last 24 hours, which is something all of you Twitter addicts definitely need to know about. TweetDeck, the popular iPhone and desktop Twitter client, received a small update that fixed some stability issues, and it also adds the ability to view and search Twitter trends. The Twitter trends are a little difficult to find at first, so here is a quick rundown on how to locate them. Once you launch TweetDeck, there is an “Add Column” button right in the middle of the bottom tab bar. Click that button and you will see a new page that displays your Twitter account and the column type you want to add. Scroll through the column types until you find “Twitter Trends.” You can view current Twitter trends from there and select ones that you want TweetDeck to search for. TwitterFon is another

MisterButton
Version: 1.1.2
no reason to get tweetdeck if u can't connect w/ facebook. it gives u a connection error everytime u try to open a FB column and instructs u to check ur FB permissions and to logout and log back in. doesn't work. switched back to echofon. not only is echofon reliable u can load back to as many tweets or msgs u want. tweetdeck only lets u go back to the last 200. i receive over 200 tweets a day and would require me to check every few hrs or i would miss tweets. the other problem is u can't get to ur profile page w/o looking urself up, meaning u can't see a list of ur followers or who ur following. the one tap profile tab/column seems pretty obvious. how that was looked over, i dunno. the layout looks great but until at least the facebook connection problem is corrected there is no real need for tweetdeck since for tweets alone, other apps are better

I like the look of TweetDeck, and I love the idea of synching with my desktop version, but this app can't stay up long enough for me to get attached to it -- it keeps crashing to the home screen. I'm sticking with Tweetie but will consider trying TweetDeck again after the next upgrade.
Slick and clever, but clearly there are issues.
MikeF315
Version: 1.0.1
*** Updated for 1.01 The crashes appear to be a thing of the past. No matter what I did the app would not crash where it was previously just unusable. While trends have been added, I'm afraid it's not very intuitive and if you need to go through the process of "Add a new column" and toggle through the choices until you get to "View Trends". It seems a rather awkward way just to find a list. But people were badly missing this and it is here. Sync columns seems to have developed a problem, and I don't know if it is with this implementation or a server issue. I often got nothing but a click and the button to disappear when clicking on 'sync columns' but there was often an immediate message that there was a problem with this synch, try later. When it does at tims actually check for updates it either produces the same error, or advises there is nothing to sync (where a column was deleted) - All in all, the crashes alone allows me to raise the rating to three stars from one. I feel this is an app that can really grow on you and the more you use it the more you'll like it. That was impossible with the crashing of course. The trends are a good addition but poorly executed, and of course the sync is an issue I can't figure yet. No doubt I will be raising my rating to four stars in the near future and perhaps on the next release to five. This is a very clever implementation of an app that has more or less just been done one way previously. Great prospects.
A little biased

This is an awesome 1.0 for Tweetdeck, bringing many features that are nonexistent in even paid twitter clients. However, it's lacking a landscape mode (overall and for posting tweets), the image service integration you get with desktop tweetdeck, the ability to tap links in a tweet without opening the whole tweet.
I'd hope to see improvements to the growl-like feature as well to make it function like the updates button.
Overall this is an excellent start and by far the best free Twitter client, but it lacks some of the commonly used features in Tweetie.
Love it except...

This is the best Twitter app I've used. I wish it didn't crash as often as it does. It would also be nice if there was an option to clear read tweets like the desktop app does. I'd also like it if it automatically scrolled to the first unread tweet.
Get this!

Great app, just needs facebook integration like it's desktop version to be perfect!
Fast, slick, beautiful!

I am a fan of Tweetie but I have to say, TweetDeck exceeded my expectations. This is a fine, greatly made app. Groups, Multiple Accounts, Growl and more! Love it!
