It doesn't update at night anymore. Work midnights and never gives temps anymore waist of money and time

recently wont update, as others have noted, and no clear way to contact for support for this app! needs a fix, dunno what happened with it all of a sudden.

I contacted the support people and their response was very interesting...and I quote, "we'll get to it when we get to it, it really isn't our priority..." All I could say was "WOW!"

Compared to other apps w/their slick UI Weather Bug Elite might not look like much but I'm pleased with the results.I like that you are getting data from local independent weather stations. I live 10 miles N of Boston & with most weather apps I'm getting weather data from Logan Airport. With WB I'm pulling the data from a weather station in my own city.

I had no problem with the 99 cent price, but now it can't locate me. I've turned off the iPod and attempted again, several times now, but no luck.

Weather Channel app is better & free.

The old app was cuter and had a radar button. Paid for this one and can't find radar. Not happy.

waste of money. wud rate 0 stars if possible. all it says is finding ur location 4 2 hrs

Terrible app. Maps have not updated in months. No respond to repeated inquiries. The free app updates maps! But not the elite. Terrible.

Please help I can zoom in on the weather map,but I can't zoom out. Please help.

This app is one of the best of the weather programs and is easy to use -- Thanks to the programmers! However, the icon is really unattractive and poorly designed - even though I like the app, it annoys me to see the poorly-designed icon on my iPhone screen. Please, for the next update, several of us hope you will consider consulting with an artist or designer and changing the icon to an attractive image.

BIG oversight! The Conditions page does NOT indicate the current sky conditions. The Conditions page provides current conditions info such as temp and wind speed but it doesn't show you whether the sky is sunny, cloudy, raining etc... There is an icon on the Conditions page that will show you the Forcast sky conditions but that's the not the current sky condition. Instead you need to look out a window if you're physically at that location. I do like this app better than other weather apps but I'm surprised something so basic has been missed. The iphone screen icon could use some improvement too.

WeatherBug has been mine mainstay for weather watching for years! I love that they have an app for my iPhone!!! Keep up the good works, WeatherBug!!!

Don't buy! First, Microsoft "upgraded" (actually downgraded) old weatherbug to a version with ads to generate revenue with this "elite" version. Unconscionable! (This is called bait and switch!) Further, the promised map features are so SLOW it renders the features unuseable. But, I would expect nothing less from a Microsoft product designed to generate revenue from far superior Apple products. It's a sad day for Microsoft when they are forced to BAIT AND SWITCH apple customers to generate revenue to accomodate for slumping PC sales.

It's a nice app, absoluty wonderful UI, but has only crashed once.

Still needs a US map showing watches and warnings. By the way, there is nothing wrong with the icon.

The only bad thing about this app is the icon. Great job!!! Would give five stars if it had google maps.

Need more locations yahoo has murrieta ca but not weatherbug. The next place it has is suncity or San Diego. To much distance 

The best weather program, hands down. As some have mentioned there are some minor bugs.. And the new icon is terrible. Please go back to the old one.

At what it's for it is the best... I love that you can hold your finger on any location and a pin will drop and tell you the weather and info. Anyway it's the best

Compared to Weather Channel and other weather apps this superior. I like the constantly updating data, including wind speed/direction. Also like the variety of camera views avalable. Graphics are sharp and well laid out. Could use barometric pressure with updating trend indicator. But, all in all well worth a buck

Even better than the free version, I got the free one once I got my I touch a year and a half ago loved it. So you can imagine how this one is! You need to upgrade I think it's worth more than $1.00. But happy with price pick this app up!

I am a weather nut! I have downloaded and paid for several weather applications. After downloading this app and comparing it to my favorite weather app, The Weather Channel, I really think that I will stick with the free Weather Channel app. I was excited about the cameras and the video but they turned out to be the reason I would recommend The Weather Channle. The video on the Weather Channel is localized meaning I the video forecast for my home town. When I choose video on Weather Bug I get some extreme weather video not a local forecast or even an option. Another annoying feature is the cameras. The camera feature sounds cool but it turns out there are very few of them and I am in a big city but there is only one camera. While this isn't a bad app, I just don't see the point in paying for this vs. the other free options...

The video seems worthless to me if it's not a video for my location. To NOT have sunrise/sunset information is nuts. If you want Weatherbug, go with the free version. I'll stay with The Weather Channel free app.

Great but a few things would make it better: *Single bar at top giving more room *5 day picture only forecast to fit on Today's weather forecast *Choice of several views for Today, including customizable arrangement of top bars (or none) and screen *Left-right thumb scrolling between pages ***this is a great app and could be even greater and be worth more to buy in Ultimate Version with these simple changes***

It's just much better than the free one and it's a dollar come on don't complain.

The map feature is so much suprior than anything out there including TWC. I love the images and much detailed. For 99 cents it's worth every penny.

It's a great weather app, but I'd really like to be able to set custom alarms (i.e wind goes over 20 mph). :)

I love getting precise local weather and nobody does it better than weatherbug! I was more than happy to support them to get the pro version.

Well made app. Weather for anywhere or weather at your current location! Better that the weather channel. Weather in stat form or maps or pix or presantation form (video).

I think the weather channel free app is just as good.

Boasts full animation radar but after you buy it in the Q&A section they say they hope to have it by the end of the year. Save your money. My-Cast blows this app off the map.

Because it dosen't update even connected to wifi shows data from 2 hours ago. I live better the old version it was updated every 5 seconds.

The emphasis here should be on BUG. The maps are a joke, no way to easily move around other than the forever scroll. The overlay in maps only allows ONE feature to be viewed at a time. Radar OR wind OR temp OR... There is absolutely ZERO support or instruction on the website. The interactive radar is "coming" not here as the description indicates. Waste of time and money. The weather channel is free and works. This is junk

Great app, the in motion radar is great, it does take longer to load if your not in 3G but what does'nt, my favorite weather app by far.

If your reading this you're probably looking for a weather program. This one is superb. Well worth the 99 cents. The free one was great but this one kicks butt. Much better than TWCs app. All the features with no ads.

Please get rid of the "elite" on the icon. It's annoying to look at. Also, add some color to the interface. Right now it's a bit dull.

Everything is great but one should be able to overlap radar with satelite of the clouds.

On the conditions page under "pressure" put an arrow out to the side of the number showing.... up, down or flat to indicate if it's rising or falling... Remove the elite from the icon please.... It anoys the hell out of me

Nearly perfect now. Fast, animated radar, quick look and detailed hourly forcasts. Pretty much everything you need or want. Would like to be able to select multiple layers on the maps at the same time, but that is minor. Definitely worth the $.99

I've tried every weather app for the iPhone. Generally the interface has been ugly or the information incorrect, or just too basic. This app gas everything I want in a weather app, but please, there's just 2 small things keeping the app from being perfect. The icon and the name. Sorry to me it feels like those were afterthought. Fix that and this app is 5 stars all the way.

Should the radar map move? The weatherbug banner kills precious screen real estate and the upper menu bars are also killing space as well . In the end.......your visible weathermap Is too small Map loading is slow even in 3g Wundergrounds iphone friendly site may be better.

Make it so u can see the what is the weather at the moment otherwise it is a great app

I love the options, I love the graphics and updates, a lot to check and do.

I got exactly what I wanted. 

I like this app especially with all the different map layers and animation. I would say that the 'elite' on the icon is cheesy, a bit boy gamer. I also dont like the Microsoft maps instead of Google, but it works well.(I don't like Microsoft anything so that might be biased.) :)

The Blackhawks were playing on a local station, 560am. I flip wunder onto that station and its playing a completely different talk program at the same time.. Wtf?! Why the two different streams?

I've been using weatherbug on my computer for years and I'm glad I found it for the iPhone. It's fast, clean and easy to use. I've had no crashes. In the radar mode I wish the only pushpin showing would be the location showing above, not all pushpins at once cause they are all red and hard to tell which one your on. Overall great app. Thank you.

If you could please add wind line on hourly forcast. The Weather Channel has it and it is very helpful. Looking forward to the update Thank you

Needs more to be paid though. I do have to say it is better than the weather channel app. Looking forward to updates.

Save your .99 cents and stick to free Weatherbug which is a fine application in itself

Rarely have I seen an app take such a dramatic leap from average to excellent. But, that is just the case here. Weatherbug has created a near-perfect app. The new daily and hourly forecasts are fantastic. My only concern is in the maps area. The maps have always been sluggish as you zoom in or out. This has not really improved. Not sure if this is an iPhone, Weatherbug, or MS maps thing. It also affects the motion radar. I have a fast wireless connection here, so I do not believe that is the issue. Anyway, this is a minor flaw. Am holding back 1 star in hopes of seeing improvement with this. Keep up the great work.

The map is slow, or doesn't even work. The rain amounts do not post daily or monthly.

Love it have been using the free version for some time. This one fills all the request I've had. Keep it up !!

This is promoted as 100% ad free...it's not! Don't be fooled!

My new favorite weather app. Maps are topographic and update very quickly. Love the drop pin feature--you just hold your finger to a spot and you can get weather data there.

No problems love it

While I am satisfied with the improvements over the ad-base weather bug, the app still is not 100% ad free, the weather video starts with an ad before actually talking about weather news. Also, room for improvement, the weather video on the TWC app are more localized, this should be implemented on this application.

I particularly like the precipitation radar. Works Great!

The Elite version of WeatherBug is awesome! The only thing that I don't like is that it uses Microsoft Virtual Earth. The app worked better when Google maps was used.

A very professional weather app. I like the icon a lot and love the price. I think a lot of people would buy a grade A weather app like this for a dollar any day

But it dosen't update each 5 seconds like the 1.1v sometimes even connected to a wifi it shows cached info

Great app! It is simple to use and is the only weather app to have a moving radar.

A few UI improvement would do. Thanks.. Suggestions: 1. Bring back the square bubbles on the main page. 2. The help icon lose it. 2. Make the user location info smaller, for more screen space. 3. Where's the google map. 5. Forecast, why I have to tap twice to get to the full forecast for the day, then tap again to get to the hourly forecast. It should be one tap for the full forcast and then another tap for the hourly forecast for the day you tap. 6. Maps, lose all those icon on top or hide them, it looks very cluter and ugly. 7. Lose the splash screen, it's so annoying. 8. IMPROVE the icon , the logo could stay but make it look like a weather app. Overall a good buy. The old look was clean and simple. Bring it back please..

People complain about the dumbest things (the icon... Really??) and some just need to go back to common sense class. I think it was worth the buck just to get rid of ads, but there are a few stand out features that set this one apart from the rest... 1) Wind speed overlay: used to have to dig into the weather.com site for this info! Just wish it showed directions also. 2) Time lapse weather cams: not the most useful thing, but cool none the less. 3) True unlimited locations!! The others all limit you to a select few, but I tried adding 22 locations and it still would have let me add more! This is great for those of us who travel for work. Only gripe: Still crashes after you have been using it a while. Would be 5 stars if they fixed this.

I used the first one then weather Chanel one. I bought this to see what was new and is great. I would like to see some stuff from the weather channel though. Like sunrise/sunset, feels like, and maybe animated weather like a cloud with rain coming out when rainy.

It's good, but for a dollar? I prefered the free one with advertisments, doesn't have as much but it has the basics, and the app has crashed 5 outta 6 times I've used it. Slow loading on radar and satalite images. Go for the free one.

Says it installed but it wasn't!

I would keep this app over weather channel app if it was a 10 day forecast instead of 7 day and a 12 hour forecast instead of 8 hours like the weather channel is. I'm sure this is not hard to fix. Please change this and it will be a five star best weather app.

It's amazing what you can get for a dollar! This not only has it all, but they also do a good job of making the features unobstrusive yet easy to use.

The number of active weather alerts doesn't show up on the icon as in the free edition. Other than that it's ok.

Love the animated radar and now it feels you what a weather alert is for! Came in handy today with a tornado warning that I could read about.

This is the best weather app out there i have all of them amd this is by far the best one great job on the app guys

Please add a UV index to the homepage. Also push alerts would be nice when OS 3.0 comes out!

Super app! We live in tornado alley and having detailed weather alerts and animated radar is great! The best weather app I've seen and it's .99 cents

The animated weather maps alone are worth the price but being able to zoom them in for a detailed look at storms is icing on the cake. If you're a weather hobbyist, you don't have to think long about adding this one! Get it ... now!

This is way worth the $0.99. I find the added features very useful. In particular I really like the extra layers in the map view and animation. I'd like to be able to figure out how to drop a pin to get the weather at a particular location. I tried to access the support page. Weatherbug does have loads of support for their many applications.... but the web pages don't really have anything for the iPhone app. The included FAQ doesn't help either. This is a really sophisticated app with loads of info but it needs better support to be able to use to its fullest potential.

Well worth a dollar !

After using this app for a few days now I think the app is good. I look forward to future updates.

I have tried both The Weather Channel & Accuweather.com apps, neither cache the weather. With an iPod it is great to update the weather and have a 7 day forecast. Keep up the good work and keep up the improvements.

app is great just a few tweaks 1. use google maps (much clearer) 2. ability to have full screen map 3. ability to hide toolbar on all pages and reopen with a little tab

Does not update as close to real-time as the old version. Mine's always about a half hour old. But still the best weather app overall.

I have tried both the free version and this one and I prefere the paid one because it has animated radar showing the track of the storm

With so many other app devs downgrading already-purchased apps (why hasn't the FCC looked into this?) to introduce "full" versions, these guys stepped up. They actually improved their free version, and admitted in the update that ads would be introduced in it. (Honesty works best.) with that, they told us about this "Elite", ad-free version. While the apps that those weasels down-draded either went to the wayside or their "updates" continue to gather dust on my update page, I sat at the edge of my seat, for this one. (I wait and read the reviews that follow updates, before allowing them. I recommend others do the same.) Let me tell you, I couldn't be happier. The free version is excellent, and reason enough to kiss the one by that tv channel good-bye. This is no less as good. Sure, it's nice to do without the ads, which were unobtrusive. But thhese guys deserved the sale for the quality of their app, and the class they've demonstrated. Times are hard because companies walked all over their customers. Not these guys. Class act, fellas. Now if I could only get rid of that other (useless) weather app, that's crowding up my precious space... Hear that, Apple?

Use the free-version icon for the Elite version. PLEASE!!

I've been using MyWeather for a while, but for the price this app gives you even more! Severe weather alerts are major. They just need to ditch Microsofts VirtualEarth maps for Google's when the OS 3.0 is released.

Way more features than anyone can ask for in a weather app. I've used the original weatherbug as my default weather app since it came out, but was reluctant to pay money for something I already had and was simply going to downgrade the app to get rid of the new ads. But this elite version has a ton of cool stuff. It will probably be on the next iPhone commercial. Just Fin' sweet!

Finally, animated weather! Now I can see where and when the storms are coming in. Bring back the old map and icon and you will have an excellent weather app.

Pretty sweet

Where the previous version lacked detailed forecasts, the new version gives 10-day and hourly forecasts. Add to that the selectable map layers and animated radar overlays and you've got a recipe for the best weather app on iPhone. Well worth the .99

Great interface and a great price!

I've read some of the reviews and biggest one I agree with is that I like the three day forecast on front page. Other than that I have used weatherbug long before it was on iPhones around the world, about ten years now I guess, for those that don't know u can get it free on your desktop too!!! I've never used anything else and have always been happy with it. Thanks to the developers. Put the three day back on front page in updates ok!

Use Apple's built-in weather app for a quick look, then use WeatherBug Elite to see the "big picture." Many more overlays in map mode are worth the $0.99 upgrade price.

Very nice app and a reasonable price. I was a fan of the update for the old version even though there were alot of cryers. IMO if it's a free app and it has ads on it... So what, you get what ya pay for. I've got mad respect for the developers of both apps and want to say thank you for an app that's informative yet simple.

It would look a lot better with out that cluttering the icon. But everything else makes this the most well designed weather app available.

For a weather geek, this app is great. Please add visible satellite to your map layers. Infrared is nice but visible is even better.

WeatherBug is one of the first apps I downloaded upon the App store's inception. It has always been on my first page, and prior to WeatherBug Elite I no plans to change weather apps or delete it because of non-use. This app is one of the best weather apps available and it is the BEST for any person that casually checks the weather on a regular basis.

I absolutely love weatherbug! Been using it for. Long long time, and was more than happy to buy the elite version. Well worth the price!!! Weatherbug rocks!

It has everything you need and is set up great too! Please, don't change a thing unless it's to make it smoother and/or push notifications for bad weather. With 3.0, you know weather bug, you can send the badge notification and the cricket noise to all iPhones. Think about it....

Some nits to make this 5 stars: "Elite" icon is ugly Overview screen from 1.1.1 was cleaner and nicer... Bring it back! Is the splash screen really necessay? Seems to just slow down getting to the info.

I'm happy to pay for this software because it now satisfies all my weather needs. An animated map is hugely important when you're out on your bike. The extended forecasts are also useful. You have a ton of choices for maps, including wind speed, which is cool for me. They also do a good job of making the features unobstrusive yet easy to use.

Alsome app best paid and free weather app. The elite icon is ugly get rid of the word elite but keep the rest of the icon. 

I love this app. Weather Bug has always been my favorite app but the lack of moving radar was a downer. Now, it added that so no complaints.

You need to be able to get rid of pins and keep the locations

It was a great app to begin with. Anything that caches data is always appreciated by those of us on an iPod and the new version is even better. For 99 cents I bought it just to show my support and appreciation.

I love the classic app, this one is even better, come on, show some support for a great app that you're been using for free, just the radar animation worths the 99cents . since it's paid 2 minor complaints , you can't keep your old locations (from the free app), and the new icon is ugly IMHO

Only one nit to pick - the webcams are different from the free app. I liked the free app selection better. Would be nice if you could select the cams yourself.

It is a great weather app. It's simple to use, and it provides lots of detailed information. Well worth the low price!
