We've posted about the World of Warcraft Armory app from Blizzard Entertainment before. Now, Blizzard has announced that they'll soon be adding a new, long-awaited feature: the ability to browse and even set up in-game auctions from on the iPhone itself. The Remote Auction House on the iPhone Armory app is just one feature of their upcoming Armory system; they're going to be releasing an update to the official app soon that will let WoW players browse the auction house for free, and for an extra subscription price of $3 per month (in addition to the game's $15/month charge), players will be able to buy, create, and relist items on sale in the in-game marketplace. This is a functionality that a lot of people have wanted ever since Blizzard released the iPhone app in the first place. While at least one other MMO company has planned to use the iPhone in

For years I've wanted a decent World of Warcraft (WoW) iPhone app from Blizzard. There's an armory app that lets you browse your gear and so forth, but that's not enough. I'd like to track auctions, access in-game email, visit the bank and so on. All of that went out the window when I saw this. It's a screenshot of WoW supposedly being streamed to an iPad via Gaikai. Gaikai is a new service, currently in beta, that hosts and streams any game to your computer via a browser. Basically, you play a game that lives on their servers while watching a streaming video of the action. Their website says that "...the latest Adobe Flash player" is required, so we're not sure how this is being pulled off. Perhaps they're using an unreleased app. More importantly is the question, how in the world are you going to play WoW without a

Fallen Earth is a respectable postapocalyptic MMO -- I've never played it (one MMO is enough for me, and the gigantic World of Warcraft is still claiming my time), but it's grown pretty popular since release in September of last year. And now the game is set to pick up another chunk of audience, as the owner Icarus Studios has announced that they're releasing a Mac client for the game. It's currently in beta (and was made using Wine), but if you're interested in trying out a new MMO with a postapocalyptic twist, head on over, give the client a download (you'll need a game account, though there's a free trial available), and give the team a good Mac welcome. That's not all, though -- Icarus is also working on their very own iPhone app, and I got to play with it this week at their GDC 2010 booth. For Fallen

Blizzard forum poster Bornakk recently mentioned as a part of their efforts to increase the functionality of the World of Warcraft Armory that players will soon be able to access in-game auction houses through the web site itself, as well as an app that's in the works to manage your auctions on your iPhone. Features and functionality of the app are still in the process of being worked out, and Blizzard admits that since this is a fairly complex addition to the integration seen with both the armory and the iPhone so because of this they don't have any kind of release estimate yet. Also mentioned is that parts of this service will be "premium-based", and more details on what exactly that means will be revealed at a later date. Blizzard isn't exactly shy about charging players for in-game services between character server changes and sex changes, so it's anyone's guess

Recently, my boss at my day job was considering getting a Mac and asked that fateful question: So, what about games? A few years ago, any response to that question would have been met with an awkward silence and an embarrassed look and a rush to change the subject to the weather. Now a days, thankfully, the answer is: Not that bad, actually. The switch to Intel processors, along with TransGaming’s Cider, has allowed companies to port their games to OS X. The bad news is, almost all the games on this list require a Mac with an Intel-based processor to run, and most of them either do not work on the old GMA 950 chip, or are severely limited. I’ve got a weak spot for these enormous time sinks. They do come with a not-so-hidden cost of a monthly subscription fee and potential dirty looks from your spouse as you’re

Stunning.

Version: 1.0.0
This app is amazing in every way. How about adding the ability to see online guild members and messaging to friends or better yet an in game chat log. Wishful thinking I know, but one can wish.
No Reputation?

I love this app but I don't see any place to check your characters' reputations. Am I missing this or is that info not available?

Great application and easy to use, the only thing I can't find is a server status for knowing when servers come back.

Nice app, and handy for showing off and doing a little gear-checking on the fly.
Amazing.

Version: 1.0.0
Simply amazing app. The talent calculator is intuitive and well designed. Looking at my characters on here is much easier than loading the website. Same with looking up party members on the fly. While I personally don't use it, the fact that the game calendar syncs with this is awesome.
Now just come out with a Chat app for us to chat without logging in and I'll be estatic Blizzard. :)
Great, full featured app!

Version: 1.0.0
This app is a great initial iPhone effort by Blizzard, and has alot more to it than I would have expected. No more fighting with my company's firewall to sign up for raids! No more having to tab out to see someone's spec! My only complaints are that the way the talent trees are displayed needs some fine tuning, and more ways to look up gear would be nice. Otherwise, great app! Now Blizz, when do I get to chat with my WoW friends and check my auctions from the comfort of my iPhone?
Amazing

Now you can be online playing your character and look something up within the WoWArmory! Very slick interface, colorful, the perfect companion to the World of Warcraft game. It's like carrying your character sheet in your back pocket. The best portable World of Warcraft application ever. I so needed this....!!!

idlehands28
Version: 1.0.0
This app is as good as logging into the online version of Armory. Its good as is, what would make this better; adding the ability to view server stats! And go a step beyond, adding forums would make Mobile Armory a 5 star app. Good job Blizzard!
About time!

Version: 1.0.0
Thanks for getting this out there Blizzard, App is awesome and it is really something easy to use. I especially like the comparison to other guildies. Thanks for the great commercial on your website.
Great for the iphone, gimped for the ipod touch.
ManGreen
Version: 1.0.0
This app looks and performs fantastically, provided that you are somewhere that has wifi service if you only have the ipod touch. Blizzard killed several other apps from other people that downloaded data and let you view items or your characters and manipulate talent trees whenever and where ever you wanted. How difficult would it be for Blizzard to provide this basic functionality? With this app you can't even look at the talent trees unless you have reception. Great for the iphone but gimped for the ipod touch.
Not available for Taiwan realms
Taiwan players
Version: 1.0.0
We don't need a chinese UI, please just add Taiwan in your list of regions ASAP.
outstanding!!!
efink
Version: 1.0.0
This is a must for anyone who plays wow! It seems to have everything in it! from talent calc to guild info. I have had other apps that did some of the features that this one has. You can't be the price!! The best part is that you put in you wow acct info and right then all your toons pop up! no more searching and scrolling to find your characters!!! A+ well done blizzard
Awesome!

Version: 1.0.0
This is a beautiful little app Blizzard has cooked up. Something that has been needed for a long time. Finally my thirst for mobile character-showoffishness has been quenched!
Excellent app. Thank you Blizzard!
bastula
Version: 1.0.0
This app is what I was expecting Blizzard to come out with. They delivered on that plus a whole lot more. Almost everything you can do on the regular Armory is present, perfectly optimized for the iPhone. All the sound effects we know and love are present, giving this app character and makes it feel like it belongs right along the real WoW client. The speed of this app is even faster than using the regular website, and I may even prefer using it from now on.
This is what we've been waiting for
crakerjack70
Version: 1.0.0
For all of us who wondered why blizzard was yanking all the wow apps, this is why. This App works great as it should being created by blizzard, it's very exciting to see blizzard unlocking the potential of the iPhone and it's app store. Looking forward to more great blizzard apps. Possibly a failocolypse game? We can only hope. Good job Blizz!
Finally

Quackity
Version: 1.0.0
Omg this app runs a lot faster than going to the website!
Well done Blizzard, this app is perfect!
vortix
Version: 1.0.0
I'm more of a casual player of WoW these days but this app made by Blizzard is essentially the armory website in mobile form. You log in with you WoW account & password and you are good to go. The app features tons of in game sounds and is wonderfully optimized, haven't seen a bug or crash yet. Tapping on a item will show if it has gems, enchants and who drops it, you can click in futher detail for what it may disenchant into, vendor sales and item level. Characters sheets also show glyphs, talents (including dual specs) achievements, your guild calendar and much more. It also shows PvP, your arena team(s) and up to date points. But best of all its free! Blizzard has done a fantastic job here and its among the best and most polished apps on the store. Highly recommended for any WoW player from a newbie to a hardcore raider/arena player.
Flawlessly Made
Scubbasteve223
Version: 1.0.0
This app is long overdue. It was flawlessly made to work just as the site does but optically made to be used on the iPod. No more going to the site!
