Eelios has released WxFix, the new location-based personal weather solution for the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch, though I’m not sure how that “location-based” part fits with the iTouch. It’s a weather information app, so there’s not much to say about it. I really love this App! I usally don't go for apps I have to pay for. I've tried all the free weather apps from the big name players, but none of them captured the ease of use, and slick interface that WxFix has. The drag and drop functionality always gives you pin point current weather from locations that you pick, not predetermined ones. I can view weather at my house, my work, or where I'm going to hike at this weekend. The animated radar is a nice feature too. And its one of the few weather apps that allows you to finger swipe or double tap for additional information. My only complaint is that I don't dig the vibration when you go to view the Alerts. Summary: Great personalized weather app, worth the price, I'm happy with my purchase.

Because I work outside on mulitple job sites, my work depends on weather conditions. I enjoy being abe to drop a pin at each jobsite and I can schedule my jobs accordingly. It has been a big time saver for me and I highly reccomend it to anyone who is dependant on knowing what the weather will be at the drop of a pin.

I live in a state where the weather changes very suddenly. This is the first weather application I have ever used that actually gives a forcast for my current location. It has been incredibly accurate and I am very impressed with the technology. I also have received alerts quickly and I will use this weather application in place of watching the news. I was in a major storm and downstairs in my basement, I watched the radar as the storm came over me directly and passed. I was able to come out of my basement knowing I was safe. Thank you WxFix!

I first started with WxFix Lite and liked it so much I upgraded to this version. Its well worth the money & has the most unique and usefull feature in being able to drop pins on the map to receive an accurate forecast for that location. I'm excited about the future of this app.

This is by far the best weather app out there. The functionality is a breeze, not to mention the sunny graffics. Wxfix weather app is the only way to go when you need that on the spot forcast update. It came in really handy while I was golfing, checked the radar and was relived to see the lightning and rain was going to slide right by. Thanks Eelios, great work!

The app itself is by far a better idea than the rest of the weather apps. I live in the Omaha metro area(same pictured in the previews) and really tried putting this gps based forecast to the test. The result... It works very well.
Things to improve on..
-On a clear day, I am getting radar clutter, maybe turn back the intensity.
-push notifications
- satelite view besides radar
- customizable start screen
- ability to turn off the map view lat/long tag( so you just have the currents)
- customizable accelerometer pages... Shake to maps...shake to warnings..
- more options to customize and refine...this is definitely a diamond with a few more cuts to be made.
In all I love that an Omaha based company is bringing something different to the table that will change the way we look at our weather. Great start guys!

Good resolution model data gives you pinpoint accuracy. I like the integrated method of pulling up the week's forecast. Saves favorites from your contact list. Radar may be best potential feature but map background should be subdued so the radar data is more visible. I like it!

The WxFix application drives innovation to a new pinnacle above the clouds and way above other similar software merchandise. The preeminent feature, the ability to access the local weather conditions with in seconds gives anyone not tied to a television set or radio the edge in prepping for the weather conditions when on the go. The Doppler Radar resolution performs well up to par on the Apple I Touch. Not too difficult for a layman to navigate around this software product’s landscape. The Drop Pin and Favorites aspect of the software adds a bonus to an otherwise outstanding app.

I love this weather app. When I travel I don't have to think of where I am at and add it, the app just knows where I am at. Elegant design for current forecasts with just enough information there. The hour by hour forecast is awesome. It took me a while to "get" putting in favorites and the map, but once I did I use it all the time.

Nice app. Took me a while to figure it out, but I like the way it locates you automatically. Also the pin drop is pretty cool, but not obvious. Like the way I got the weather forecast just moving the pin around.

Truly amazing resolution, and the pin drop and movement on the map is awesome. I dropped a pin on the first tee of my golf club and got the weather forecast for the next 4 hours. Would like to see the map and radar views integrated, but you have to try this app.
